Přidejte své obchodní údajePeace, space and plenty of shade are what’s on offer at Les Terrasses Occitanes, spread over three hectares of a hillside plot on the edge of the town of Grisolles.
There were once vines all over the terraces at this Tarn-et-Garonne site, but they’ve now been cleared away to leave quiet grass pitches shaded by trees and marked out to give each one a large 70 square metres of cool space to relax in. Each one also has its own electric terminal so you can hook up whatever gadgets you like.
Stroll a little way from your pitch for the site’s facilities: there’s an outdoor pool here, along with a restaurant (although you’re welcome to light up a barbecue instead if you prefer, or have your meal as a takeaway back at your pitch). This is a laidback site with a family-friendly vibe, and that stretches to the low-key evening entertainment too.
There are plenty of laidback ways to spend days in the area too: hire bikes on site or bring your own for rides along the nearby Canal Latéral à la Garonne, tours of the Frontonnais vineyards or outings to small villages. Horse riding and kayak trips are also close by, or you could opt for more urban adventures in Montauban, Moissac or Toulouse.
Don’t worry if you get a bit dusty on your travels – there’s a launderette back at base, along with showers and toilets.

Místní atrakce
Get your bearings in the area with a walk or cycle ride on the banks of the Canal Lateral à la Garonne, a kilometre and a half away. If you’d rather get out on the water, there’s a kayak rental place 20 minutes’ drive away for paddles on the Garonne. More lovely days out can be had cycling or walking between the vineyards around Fronton (15 minutes’ drive).
For town-based walks, head to Montauban (25 minutes), a fortified medieval settlement that’s home to the excellent Ingres Bourdelle Museum, or the foodie hotspot Moissac (35 minutes). You should also plan to spend a day in Toulouse (40 minutes), working your way around its museums and lovely old churches, strolling by the Canal du Midi and visiting the Cité de l’Espace.
Elsewhere around the area, take the kids to meet animals and huge dinosaurs at Animaparc, challenge them to whizz through the treetops at Agrip Aventure or take them to get lost in the maze at Château de Merville – all these are about 20 minutes away.
