The owner is really friendly and allowed us to leave our car on site on the day of departure so we didn’t have to park in the village.
No em va agradar: The portaloos are well maintained but are still portalooos at the end of the day. I understand this is a pop up site and have no qualms with them being there a sit was advertised on the site before booking.

Tradueix (A través del Traductor de Google)Em va agradar: The setting is absolute perfection! Small campsite with easy access to the lake just a few steps away. For the price you absolutely cannot go wrong! It made a 5 day stay affordable for us.
The owner, Amy, was so friendly and accommodating. She was able to manage some guests that were not being respectful… they were extremely loud until 4am and hounding other campsite guests into the small hours. She was fair in her approach, offered them a refund and asked them to leave. We all appreciated her swift action to enable the rest of us an enjoyable stay.
The toilets were cleaned daily, which we really appreciated given the heat we were blessed with. If you’re wanting showers then this isn’t the site for you, but if you’ve got a solar shower or taking dips in the lake and you’re happy with that, then I would truly recommend booking!
The pub, the Coniston Inn, is literally next to the field, so for anyone wanting a cheeky drink and some pub grub, it’s just a hop, skip and a jump away.
The pitches are flat and there is more than ample room for set up. Raised campfires / bbq permitted, which just adds to that nostalgia of camping.
We loved everything about this campsite, from pitch to owner… so much so that we ended up staying an extra 2 nights, which Amy was more than happy to accommodate. Can’t wait to go back next year and we will be upping our stay from 5 nights to at least 7!

Tradueix (A través del Traductor de Google)Em va agradar: I wanted a quiet camp near the lake and indeed it was perfect. Camped right next to a lake with other campers further away. Jumped into the water as soon as we woke up and it was divine. I didn't expect anything more.
No em va agradar: There are toilets on site but they are just what they are, not dirty but not pleasant either. There is nothing you can do about them.

Tradueix (A través del Traductor de Google)Em va agradar: Spacious site, right on water's-edge. Half a mile to walk to the village, and the walk there is scenic and safe (off the road). Felt secure as the communication with the site owner was spot-on. Right next door to a country pub, although I didn't visit this time. Other campers were friendly and sensible - fortunately there were no wild parties or raves so the only sounds during the night were from the very vocal owls!
No em va agradar: I arrived on a Sunday and found I'd forgotten a few bits and bobs for my tea! Coniston, being a small village, doesn't have a lot of shops. The only one that was open was the spar attached to the petrol station. It was absolutely mobbed, and I struggled to get some stuff. An honesty shop in the site would maybe be a suggestion? Although, to be fair, I wouldn't expect it to sell sausages which is what I was really hoping for for my tea! Anyway, not really a 'dislike' - the site was lovely and I will definitely be coming back.

Sorry you feel this way. As you have posted anonymously hard for me to comment. But possibly a reason why other campers and myself were not happy and “unthoughtful”
