Such a lovely, clean campsite with beautiful views! It was amazing having fresh milk every morning too. Would definitely recommend!

More groups than I thought there would be but was quiet after 11

Fabulous spot with pitches marked by firepits … just drive in and select where you want. Fabulous views over the valley and an amazing sunset ! Texted owners number and she left us a firepit bundle which I paid for later. The two portaloos are spacious and very clean. The cow trailer for water, tea and coffee is a sweet touch.

Campers next to us disregarded the 10 pm music curfew ☹️ … our only grumble

The veiws are excellent you can see right over the valley and a bit beyond.although I didn’t use it I liked the fact there was free tea,coffee and milk to use if you wanted and the hosts were genuinely really nice people.

I really disliked the long grass as it got you soaked when walking to toilets at night and in the morning.I also was getting annoyed when I went to do my dish washing as the water tank was empty each time I went to use it and the site was quiet at the time so would imagine that would be a problem all the time when it’s busy.I also found the site fees fairly pricey when compared to other sites that have all singing all dancing facilities like showers,proper toilets,washing machines and tumble driers.over all I would say the site is good for an overnight stay but after that you really feel the need for more facilities so will probably avoid sites like this in the future as I like to be more comfortable when doing site camping.I would have given more stars for my rating had the washing up facilities been kept on top of.

Amazing spacious places to pitch, the view was out of this world. Loved the fire pits. Loved the quality of the field too. Toilets were nice and clean. Complimentary tea, coffee, water and milk was a lovely touch and I noticed everyone making use of it. All in all it was a great place.

What a lovely little site. We had a lovely time here and will 100% be back at some point. The free cows milk was very much appreciated and ive never seen such clean porta loos. Come here for the views alone, its absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for a lovely stay x

Stunning countryside views and we saw a gorgeous sunset. Overall a very peaceful site and clean portaloos. Close to a lovely pub The Feathers, where you can sit out with the dog and get pizzas. We drove to Chopwell Woods, (about 15 mins away) and there are some great, well-signposted walks and bike tracks. We also went into Hexham (about 20 mins away) and had a lovely Sunday dinner at the Heart.

It's a basic site, with limited facilities including no showers, but we were aware of this when we booked and only stayed for 1 night. Also, it was a bit windy at the top of the hill, but the views were worth it.
