Advise getting there late morning if over a weekend to get the pitches with the best view. Amazing site and will be back again next year. Site owner advised of a meteor shower and it was worth it.

This place is just amazing - basically wild camping in a huge field on top of a hill. No facilities beyond a (immaculately clean) pair of portaloos - and a horse box with water etc) - no reception - didn’t see owners - but that’s all good.
If simple, uncluttered sleeping in a truly beautiful field is what you’re after this is perfect. Very quiet when we stayed (200m between campers) - but a few others which was nice. Perfectly set up for fires (and barrels provided at every site) - bring your own of buy a log pack delivered to site for £10
Pub next door looks good (though didn’t visit).No em va agradar: Found the site REALLY difficult to find - it’s down a little track on the left beyond the Feathers pub (look for a big tyre) - a better sign would have saved us a lot of frustration in the rain!
I’d really give it 4.75 out of 5 for simple wild camping - but since we took 30 minutes to find it have to knock off something.
A basic site, minimal facilities, perfect for my needs. Fab host

Tradueix (A través del Traductor de Google)Em va agradar: The experience began with a welcoming E-Mail, the night before, on arrival I had the pick of the plots, each well spaced and with its own fire pit, fab views on all, I had a text from the host to confirm arrival time, and hot water tea coffee and fresh from the cow milk was waiting in the hospitality trailer, a very welcome gesture. The site is basic a couple of poraloos which were spotless! And the aforementioned trailer. My host visited to make sure everything was OK, and again later to deliver the logs for the fireplace. I had 2 nights in fairly lousy weather, but I can not fault the site. I'll be back. 👍
