It was a small campsite great for families or couples who want a calm sight at night! Great park and swimming for the kids!

Needed better cleaning facilities for the toilets/showers as people had muddy feet! But overall good

One of my favourite sites. I love how close everything is. The play park and football pitch are a hit with thd kids.

The shower facilities need updating.

Lovely small site with only 1 other van. We are a young family camping and with campervan also.

We visited the pool, open from 3.30pm. Super friendly staff and great for the kids.

We happened to be on town when the chippy van came on a Thursday night. Brilliant food.

Overall super stay. Thanks very much. Very good value for money and very friendly welcoming village.

Clean facilities, excellent access to the river as well as plenty of walking routes both in Lazonby and kirkoswald. Very nice and quiet campsite.

I really enjoyed my stay, it was lovely and peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The campsite staff were really helpful and responsive to email correspondence and very kindly let me move my booking when I was unwell for the original date and unable to travel. I'm so glad I got my trip in the end and I had a lovely stay. Thank you!

This is a super campsite! Situated behind the fabulous Lazonby outdoor heated swimming pool it is small, quiet and perfect for an overnight stop when (as we were) you are cycling the Coast to Coast route.
It overlooks the beautiful River Eden and the walk we took along the river bank in the evening was so pretty and quiet.
The pool is a fabulous asset to the village - a community venture - it is run, like the campsite by volunteers and is much loved by both locals and visitors alike. We had a swim after cycling - it was perfect! The volunteers are really lovely - very welcoming and friendly.
The campsite allows you to use the facilities at the pool - showers, toilets and there is water and a washing up area on site. The pool has a small shop where drinks and snacks can be purchased and there is a Co-op in the village for milk/bread etc. The pitches are level and the ground perfect for pitching a tent easily.
Special mention to Fiona, one of the volunteers who helped us out massively when my husbands injured knee almost put a stop to our trip. Fiona and her partner offered to carry our panniers over the Pennines to our next accommodation to make my husbands bike lighter and easier to ride over the Pennines. A very kind gesture which blew us away and ensured my husband could complete this trip. We are eternally grateful! I'd give the customer service a 10.... never mind a five!
We will be returning to Lazonby for a swim... and we would certainly recommend this campsite and the pool - lovely place and lovely people!
