The pitch was really nice and big and we like how it was a small sight,the lakes where nice to walk around and the cafe was nice with a decent menu.

The pitch needed a bit of tlc, the grass and hedges needed cutting,there was no toilet or shower block, the signs to the field was just a piece of A4 sheet of paper on a post that was curled up so we missed the entrance,after pulling up outside the office looking confused a women came out and asked if we needed help,we told her we where looking for the field ,she replied with a sarcastic remark about a texted that was sent the day before with directions, we saw no signs to direct us to the walks , all weekend we heard kids playing in gardens lawns being mown from the houses that are next to the site, and to call the site a country club is a bit of a laugh as there is no club.

Quiet and very spacious plots, surrounding areas clean, water and electric hook up on each plot.

Absolutely everything ❤️ This place is a delightful hidden 💎 gem. Amazing piches and believe me when I say they are extra large and very private just what you want for your stay away. If you want peace and quiet 🤫 you certainly have it here. The main gates get locked each evening giving you peace of mind for your stay. The little walk past the lakes is picturesque (Amazing) leading you to a quaint little cafe where staff are so polite serving up the most delicious 😋 breakfast. It was the best I'd ever tasted. Well done 👏 credit to the chef 👨‍🍳. All whilst being sat outside on the beutiful terrace giving you amazing views of the lake just stone throw away. Even bosting toilets 🚻 next to the cafe with disabled too which were immaculately clean. Joanne representing Barlow country club came to visit each pitch making sure all customers were happy and settled offing any advice if needed..thankyou Joanne was a pleasure to meet you 😀 and the invite to burger 🍔 night FANTASTIC. This place is absolutely fantastic and this was our 1st visit and definitely will not be our last. Credit to Barlow country club 🌟

Negative comments on this site which I believe are untruthful, which is a shame. Its a good 👍 job I have a mind of my own and don't listen to the negative I personally believe they are for the moaning merkles lol..Why moan about toilets and showers when it clearly states on the booking there are none.. look before you book 👀 you are causing false reports. Which I believe is unfair and false. Its in bold red.

Each individual pitch was large and private, with hardstanding and a lawn screened off by a tall coniferous hedge. EHU and fresh water tap to each pitch. The pitches were well maintained in terms of mowing and hedge-trimming.
The area was beautiful, with access from site through the
adjacent trout farm to the woods, perfect for dog walking.
Being adult only, the site was peaceful and quiet. We stayed for three nights, and were treated to bird song and a robin's visit throughout.

Not really a dislike, but the pitches were not level (although they look it) and we needed to use levelling blocks to the maximum, which elevates the motorhome hab door and makes it more difficult to clamber in and out.
There was some scattered old rubbish behind the barrier fence at the back of our pitch, which was a shame.
That said, we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

good area , easy walk to local friendly pub the tickled trout which serves excellent food and great atmosphere .
attached fishery unbelievable well kept and well stocked with various variety’s of good fish , lots of carp and large specimen lake and also brilliant cafe and loads of parking spaces at fishery .
no faults at all , great weekend will be returning soon.

Size of pitch meant you weren’t disturbed by neighbours- although on this week there weren’t any. Quality of accommodation was 5* as we took out own.

The advertising makes it seem the pitches were by the lakes but they weren’t. I wasn’t able to get to the lakes as I use a mobility scooter. Site is open 24/7 with no security. No sight of owners at all, just a text with directions. This is not a country club. It’s just an expensive CL! No fantastic views as stated as you are totally encompassed by 8 foot hedges. Not even toilets. This is geared up for the fishing lakes and the campsite appears to have been set aside as an income generator only. A general wire of low to no maintenance.

Lovely site, very tidy and peaceful. Big private pitches and dog friendly. Lovely walk past the fishing lakes to the lakeside cafe, visited two nice pubs in Barlow. We will go again.

The privacy of pitch hedges and the photos on website were amazing it's not like this at all

No contact at all with anyone just a text message with directions
Site is unkept and run down
Although hedges make for privacy on pitches these are overgrown
No proper direction signs near site
You are given a barrier code but this is not needed as barrier is broken and looks like it has been for some time as it's very rusted
Drain cover near entrance is damaged
Barlow country club? Really such a posh name for a run down site expected much more and it wouldn't of taken much to make this a nicer site but it seems noone is bothered about it, shame

Surrounding walks and woodlands

Neglected site with health and safety issues. Guy that tried to cut the grass spread it all over the paths and our car. Then proceeded to keep putting his arms under the ride on mower to clear his blockages. Shocking to witness when out on a bank holiday Sunday afternoon. Broken man holes and barrier on site.
