The whole site! We loved the secluded individual pitches, location and the peacefulness. The pitches were all very tidy and maintained.

The tree-lined, enclosed pitches offer ample privacy and the delightful sounds of birdsong.
Prompt response to text messaged queries.

The gate is broken.
The electric hookup is functional, but dirty and partially obscured by trees.
The on-site cafe is actually a 10-minute walk away, through the Fisheries.
There are many huts, buildings etc that appear to be abandoned.
There is no visible staff.
There is no country club.

Great little site and we liked the privacy of the pitches with having our dogs with us, which made it relaxing all round.
Beautiful scenery and great walks for us all.
We enjoyed sitting outside the lakeside cafe and watching those who were fishing.

We enjoyed it so much, we've booked to go for another weekend.

Other campers allowing their dogs to roam park and upset other dogs. Used this site for 6 years but never had people letting their dogs roam free

Incredible site - visited numerous times over the past year. Highly recommend.
Private pitches, peace and quiet (usually see below)! Joanne is very welcoming, pubs in the area are superb.

Really hoping this place doesn’t get overrun with the entitled idiots that found their way on this bank holiday. One person found it okay to pitchup on someone’s pitch despite us telling him someone was on it and their electric cable was plugged in. We made him aware of a spare pitch but “he liked the look” of the one he stole so took it despite it clearly being first come first served pick your own pitch. Also please reconsider allowing the panel van camper type conversions as the one next to us drove us insane with the door sliding open and closing numerous times during the night!

Possibly the biggest and most private pitch we have ever had. Great views from our pitch. Loads of paths and bridleways within walking distance, bonus, a really nice pub at the top of the lane. We had an accident while we were there (nothing to do with the campsite) Jez and Joanne could not have been more helpful. 5 stars is not enough

Privacy of pitches

This site was really expensive considering there were no amenities. No toilets, no showers and dont be fooled, this IS NOT a country club, its a converted car park in the middle of a small town. There are a couple of fishing pools/lakes but nothing to suggest Country Club (or my expectations of). This is not as in the country side as you think. There are no amenities and considering the prices it was expensive. (yes there was electricity but no toilets, showers or even a security gate) - we paid £60 for two nights.

We travelled out in the MH during the day but had to find clever ways to make sure our pitch didnt get taken by new people - thankfully as we went so early in the season this wasnt too much of an issue. We wont book to go back, we will go to the area, but will find another site.
