Come to the Zeeland coast for a stay at Strandcamping Groede, a family-friendly site right next to a beach regularly hailed as one of the cleanest in all the Netherlands.
Based in Dutch Flanders under 10 minutes’ drive from the village of Groede, the site is in splendid setting for outdoor adventures and sightseeing: walking and cycling routes are all around, the nature-laden Groese Polders are just to the west, and Belgium is within easy reach for day trips, with Bruges 45 minutes’ drive away. Bikes, child seats and carts are all available to hire at reception.
Among the many leisure facilities on site are several playgrounds, archery, football, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, boules and a play area with a suspension bridge, a raft and stepping stones. For food, there’s a cosy brasserie with fish dishes and pizza, as well as a large shop for groceries and fresh bread and croissants baked on site every morning.
Amenities include excellent disabled facilities, several sanitary blocks with family showers, kids’ facilities with baby baths and toddlers’ toilet, and a launderette with washing machines, spin dryers, tumble dryers and an iron.

Llocs d'interès
It’s only a drive of about five minutes to reach the scenic lands of the Groese Polders, a collection of small nature reserves and play areas. Get along to the Cletemspolder area if you’re on your Holland hol with the kids, as this has a child-friendly design, a raft and a lookout point.
It’s about 55 minutes’ drive or 60 kilometres from the site to Zeeland capital Middleburg – or, to be truly Dutch, about a third of that distance if you go by bike and ferry. Once there, there are several museums to wander around, canals to picnic by and lush merchants’ houses from the 17th and 18th century to get envious at.
Over the border into Belgium, more town days are at Damme and Knokke-Heist, each 35 minutes away, and it’s only 10 minutes more to reach splendid and handsome Bruges, the capital of West Flanders and home to a historic centre that’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Klok'uus amusement park is 55 minutes away.
