Primitive cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite

Liked: Very wildlife friendly, we saw a fox, lots of birds, rabbits, butterflies, and we heard a cuckoo and tawny owl. Lots of wild meadow and well looked after grounds. A lovely murder of crows nesting in the trees which I enjoyed watching. Lots of space for children to run around and different areas to find (picnic area, train cart, woodland). Clean toilet, shower, and tap for water. Communal firepit and badminton net set up. Nice playing area for small children.

Disliked: There are people coming and going for dog walks/walks/use of the cafe and so there can be cars driving in and random people walking about so we didn't let the children stray far. The play area was in a different section so the children couldn't play unless an adult went with them. (You can't see the playground from where the pitches are).

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite

Liked: The hosts, the quirkiness of the place, the exploring of the private little woodlands, the discovery of a timber shelter and chimenea for dinner, the dog agility course, the stars at night, small but perfectly formed toilet/shower block, the price....

Disliked: The weather! Nothing to be done about that, but pack your wellies!! We had to park on hardstanding as the usual field was so wet. Fingers crossed for a dry April! Recommendation - an outside sink for wash up, with hot water would be a handy addition
