Liked: The setting was perfect with a beautiful stream through the centre of the site. My granddaughter loved the rope swings, zip line and other play areas. The site is secluded and safe and there is no need to leave once you're pitched.

Liked: Beautiful scenery, mainly peaceful. A lovely site.
Disliked: Toilet block was next to the bedroom. Struggled to sleep with the toilets flushing and the coming and going.

Liked: Lovely Basic site in a idealistic setting close to sherwood forest and clumber park we will definitely be returning
Disliked: If I'm being picky the bins around the site could do with being emptied more often and being close to Gamston airport when it's nice there's a fair amount of light aircraft overhead

Liked: Beautiful location, this is our second time staying here as a family with friends and it won't be our last.
Disliked: £10 to hire a firepit plus £10 for a bag of pine, not firewood, felt quite expensive
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for your review The reason for our prices of wood is due to our supplier prices going up unfortunately. The reason for the price of fire pits is due to them being stolen from our site in previous years. The cost us money to make too. The cost of the washing machine and the welding of the legs. Kind Regards The Old Vicarage Team

Liked: River with swing / zip line / childrens play area is great & for the adults too!
Disliked: Requires more toilets / shower facilities. Caravan pitches are not that level & has a tight driveway but do able
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Hi Thanks for your review We are waiting for the toilet facilities to be installed. As you may have seen they are on our driveway due to the level of the river we are unable to take them across at the moment. This is why we only allow caravans up to 7.5m due to the ease of access to the site. Thanks The Old Vicarage Team
It's was our second stay on this site, can't wait to go back again

Liked: The location is a little gem, it's so stunning and peaceful. The owners are super friendly and helpful, and you are allowed to have open fires which is great.
Disliked: The only thing that lets this site down is the shower and toilet blocks, however having spoken to the owners, they are aware of the issues and planning on upgrading this area
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely review. Yes, we do have our toilets ready to go on the lane but we cannot move it across at the moment due to the river being high. Kind Regards The Old Vicarage Team
