Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: Grounds great, use of freezer and fridge. Stream/shallow river brilliant, safe for kids. Pet friendly. Stream safe for younger children supervised. Electric hook up. Due to amount of rain, ground soft for vehicles. This place is great for a weekend lenght stay. I stayed in a tent, no hook up and had a gazebo, priced fairly, for the time of year,
Disliked: Only 2 showers for the entire camp site, 1 washing up sink, hot water limited, mainly cold for showers and ran cold for the washing up sink.

From the manager: Hi Thank you for your review If you had told us about the hot water problem while onsite we could have sorted the issue for you? We are in the process of buying and installing more showers but we have to wait until we are out of season for this. We have just installed a brand new toilet block so we have to wait until we are quiet now to install all the plumbing etc for the showers Regards The Old Vicarage Team

From the manager: Thanks for your review We have just installed a brand new toilet block on the other side of the river? Very modern as seen on our Facebook page ? We are in the process of buying another show block but we cannot install things with people camping on-site, has to be out of season Regards The Old Vicarage Team

Liked: The setting was perfect with a beautiful stream through the centre of the site. My granddaughter loved the rope swings, zip line and other play areas. The site is secluded and safe and there is no need to leave once you're pitched.

Liked: Lovely Basic site in a idealistic setting close to sherwood forest and clumber park we will definitely be returning
Disliked: If I'm being picky the bins around the site could do with being emptied more often and being close to Gamston airport when it's nice there's a fair amount of light aircraft overhead

Liked: Beautiful location, this is our second time staying here as a family with friends and it won't be our last.
Disliked: £10 to hire a firepit plus £10 for a bag of pine, not firewood, felt quite expensive
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for your review The reason for our prices of wood is due to our supplier prices going up unfortunately. The reason for the price of fire pits is due to them being stolen from our site in previous years. The cost us money to make too. The cost of the washing machine and the welding of the legs. Kind Regards The Old Vicarage Team
