Primitive grass campsite
Liked: Beautiful location in the Forest of Dean. Grass pitch without electric. The campsite staff were exceptional, gave us comprehensive information on facilities. They were very helpful advising us on an almost level location. The washroom / toilet facilities were excellent with nice hot showers without having to pay. Very competetive price when booking through Pitchup. Com. Highly recommended, beautiful forest location ideal for walking, mountain biking, canoeing etc.
Disliked: Not a fault of the campsite but no mobile phone coverage.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked: Such a lovely site fully emersed in the forest! Lots of things to do walking distance from site. A lovely walk to the River Wye via Symonds Yat Rock. Friendly staff. Very dog friendly! Basic but clean facilities. Even though it was very busy being bank holiday weekend, it was still really quiet and we felt we had privacy. Other campers were all really respectful which was nice!!
Disliked: No signal or WiFi, which is really nice to get away from! But would be good to have sometimes just for contacting each other if separated/emergencies!
