  • Family-friendly site just off the A487 four miles from Cardigan
  • A few minutes' drive from beaches and half an hour from Fishguard
  • Dogs, campfires and barbecues all allowed
You may be enroute across country, or seeking a handy stopover for the Fishguard ferry… or perhaps you’re seeking a convenient spot from which to explore the many attractions of the Ceredigion coast. Whatever causes you to wend your way to this corner of west Wales, you’ll be most welcome at family-run Greenore Camping and Caravanning, a spacious four-acre rural site handily located just off the A487. Town amenities are easily reached four miles away in Cardigan, and the site is also just a few minutes’ drive from some splendid beaches, castles, the coastal path and heaps of outdoorsy days out. This is a relaxed and family-friendly site where dogs, barbecues and campfires are all allowed (although please check out the terms and conditions and use your common sense). As this is a rural spot with little lighting, it's a good idea to bring a torch along with you in case you need to get out and about at night.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: David and Sue were extremely welcoming on arrival and due to an unfortunate cancellation elsewhere we were really pleased they could accommodate us last minute. The site was in an ideal location and had all we needed. The mud wasn't an issue and soon dried out with 3 full days of sun 🌞👍😃. We will be back.

Liked: Location was very convenient. The wild life and views were lovely. There was a good size dog walking area. We had a level pitch in a quiet area.

Disliked: The shower room could have been warmer and the shower easier to use.

Local attractions

The Ceredigion coastline could keep guests amused for many a day: there are excellent beaches within 15 minutes’ drive in Aberporth, Llangrannog, Mwnt and Tresaith, wildlife-spotting boat trips from Cardigan and more than 60 miles of seaside rambling to be done on the Ceredigion Coast Path. Days of golf, fishing and horse riding can all be had within a half-hour drive, and the area has plenty of fab places to go for a walk – Llys y Fran Country Park, arty Sculptureheaven and Cenarth Falls are all nearby (if you’re visiting the latter, plan some time to swing by the Caws Cenarth farm to see the cheese in production and sample a little taster). Castle visits are often popular picks around these parts, too, so head to Cardigan Castle to see the results of a lengthy restoration project, or to Cilgerran Castle to see the medieval round towers. Other fab days out nearby include the Welsh Wildlife Centre and Dyfed Shire Horse Farm (both 15 minutes away).
