The Old Dairy Farm Caravan and Camping

Me gustó: The campsite was large, had a lovely friendly feel. The children loved the park, the bouncy castle and the animals.

No me gustó: The toilets were unclean, no toilet roll or hand wash. Not enough bins around the campsite and the main one was overflowing. The showers had glass doors leading straight out to the children’s park which we found was poor planning. Shop and pizzas were closed.

Me gustó: It was in a nice area.

No me gustó: Poor drainage on pitches. Little to no pathway for walking to the onsite shop and facilities especially from the second field, the rain made this walk difficult especially at night for myself and the children. Unfortunately toilets had a terrible smell, and during our stay the food was never open. We also found the trains really noisey late at night- this may have been my oversight and may have been advertised. We left early.

Me gustó: Bouncy castle, playground, large ground, goats (watch out for Billy 😊, aviary, location, good value, lovely walks

No me gustó: Noise from train. Facilities could be better, eg Toilets could be cleaned more regularly, flash on the urinal was not working so the toilet smelt, sink for washing up a bit too small, no bins by the watching up area in the lower field.

Me gustó: Small farm animals and birds. Big pitch. Some lovely walks in the area. Beautiful countryside. Friendly staff. Showers nice and hot. Bouncy castle and playground a huge hit with kiddies and parents.

No me gustó: Toilets doors on smaller block didn't lock properly and were definitely not cleaned every day. WiFi poor further down the site.

Me gustó: Family friendly atmosphere, the goats and parrots! Childrens play area and bouncy castle Fire pit hire was also an added bonus!

Me gustó: The site was fantastic. The pitches were a good size with plenty of space in the middle for children to run around and play football, catch, or even try their skills at flying the foam aeroplanes on offer at the onsite shop. There was a bouncy castle, a huge aviary full of colourful birds and loads of super friendly goats to pet. The facilties were good, always clean and the showers were brilliant! My favourite things were how quiet the site was after dark and just how dark the site was! No flood lights blinding you as you walk to the toilet block or shining through thin tent walls during the night. Be prepared for trains passing regularly as its right next to a busy line but quite honestly you start ignoring them pretty quickly. We would definitely return for another visit.

Me gustó: Lovely campsite with good toilets and nice hot showers. Beautiful dog walks along the canal and cross open countryside.

No me gustó: The campsite is close to some train tracks and it was noisy at times.

Me gustó: Bouncy castle, park and football goal area. Friendly staff.

Me gustó: How relaxed everything was. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Site was easy to access. The kids were well catered for and the site even put on a bouncy castle. The team were very flexible and accommodating as we had changed from a tent to a folding camper last minute.
