Em va agradar: It was in a nice area.
No em va agradar: Poor drainage on pitches. Little to no pathway for walking to the onsite shop and facilities especially from the second field, the rain made this walk difficult especially at night for myself and the children. Unfortunately toilets had a terrible smell, and during our stay the food was never open. We also found the trains really noisey late at night- this may have been my oversight and may have been advertised. We left early.

Em va agradar: Family friendly atmosphere, the goats and parrots! Childrens play area and bouncy castle Fire pit hire was also an added bonus!

Em va agradar: The site was fantastic. The pitches were a good size with plenty of space in the middle for children to run around and play football, catch, or even try their skills at flying the foam aeroplanes on offer at the onsite shop. There was a bouncy castle, a huge aviary full of colourful birds and loads of super friendly goats to pet. The facilties were good, always clean and the showers were brilliant! My favourite things were how quiet the site was after dark and just how dark the site was! No flood lights blinding you as you walk to the toilet block or shining through thin tent walls during the night. Be prepared for trains passing regularly as its right next to a busy line but quite honestly you start ignoring them pretty quickly. We would definitely return for another visit.

Em va agradar: Lovely campsite with good toilets and nice hot showers. Beautiful dog walks along the canal and cross open countryside.
No em va agradar: The campsite is close to some train tracks and it was noisy at times.

Em va agradar: How relaxed everything was. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Site was easy to access. The kids were well catered for and the site even put on a bouncy castle. The team were very flexible and accommodating as we had changed from a tent to a folding camper last minute.

Em va agradar: Goats and birds on site. Good amount of space even on a busy weekend. Handy shop, kitchen and bar
No em va agradar: Site was a bit boggy in places. The secondary toilets and washing up area didn’t all work (some lights gone and hot water not over the sinks)

Del gerent: We had solid rain, and yet no one needed towing out, no mud, but yes the grass was wet. The hot water is for washing not rinsing (otherwise one camper can waste all the water for everyone). Fill your washing bowl with the hot water, right next to the sink. We’ll change the light bulb, thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Em va agradar: What a magical little find this place is! After staying at a very well known camp site last time and experiencing loud noise and police being called at 2am we opted for a low key experience this time, we weren't disappointed. Staff were super accommodating to our needs, quiet pitch away from noise etc, fabulous. Everything you expect for a family run site who aren't trying to be a high end top of the market site, this place was great for us with our 3 year old. Highly recommend to others with young children.
No em va agradar: Not really a dislike of the site itself but I don't think this site is great if you have children older than 10, they can become boisterous on the bouncy castle and playground equipment because parents aren't monitoring them effectively. Showers become busy when site is full, ways around this though (we often showered in the evening instead of the morning). My only criticism is that the grass does get churned up in wet weather, this could be helped by putting a gravel track/road for everyone to use but obviously I appreciate this would cost money - noone was ever stuck though.
