Views were stunning

Grass very long and as this is an ad hoc site we were using the rugby teams showers and there were signs saying to clean the showers after use but the mop we were supposed to be using was filthy. The showers in one of the team showers were scalding hot, unable to stand under the showers at all. The tent pitches were furthest away from the toilets and showers but motorhomes were right next to them!!. Signs everywhere saying dogs must be kept on leads but lots of dogs off lead and 2 dogs even had a fight in the middle of the field. Large groups obviously travelling together and were partying well into the night and Jet who runs this site appears to live in a van on site but did nothing to ensure the rules were followed. This site was more expensive than a purpose built site and was awful . Will not recommend this site to anyone

Pleasant site, The warden was really helpful. 10 minute walk into town, delightful place lots of pubs and eating places, The food at the Orange Tree was lovely.
The view from our van was outstanding and stunning.
All facilities catered for.

Sadly the shower was cold, but the showers and toilets were spotless

Fantastic location. Pitches overlooking ‘Ruskin’s View’ and just a 5 minute walk to the high street where there are several, high quality options for food and drink.
Site staff were really welcoming, helpful and friendly.
Site was very quiet (we went Sunday to Tuesday) so those that were there were allowed to spread out and also not held to the 11am departure time.
Pitches looked to be very spacious even if they had been full and all were level.

Dislike is a bit strong but the field needed a good mow, especially as it rained when we were there.
Toilet and shower facilities are the ones used by the rugby teams and so although in a proper building, were a bit grubby in places - though they were definitely cleaned every morning that we were there.

The view and location, nice and quiet, plenty of space around the campsite, toilets in good condition, staff was very friendly

What a great site for visiting Kirkby Lonsdale town , just a short walk from the site , the facilities are huge very clean with a Beautiful view ,

I would imagine with some nurturing this site would grow into a substantial facility for touring and camping , it’s a shame there was no Rugby on this last weekend

Great location within short distance of village and shops with plenty to do. Pitches on far side face beautiful green rolling hills and country side. Onsite pub, with good amenities. Clean and tidy facilities and friendly staff. Gravel pitches are situated off the main through road above the grass pitches. Next time we'll go grass as the pitches looked well drained with little chance of getting stuck.

Walk to empty the toilet as we were parked on the far side but it was only a small inconvenience.
