Waterfall on the river which is accessible in parts.
Friendly reception & garden staff
Quiet - nature at its finest, birds, squirrels, pheasants, ( owls at night )
Country house u can go into the bar area at certain times
I camped on dogwood area which is away from the main camp sites.
Toilets/shower clean
I enjoyed it that much I booked an extra night whilst there.
Activities for kids, but there's an extra cost, you would have to see their website waddow Hall for details as I believe it's pre booked only.

Plenty to do outside the estate, plenty of things /places to visit

Not being able park near your tent. *small walk to camp area* but don't let it put u off, as its not far at all.
The signage is confusing. Had no idea where to go when first got there. To the point I pitched up in the wrong field... but there was no problem, staff were ok and let me stay where I was, as long as I was happy.

Some of the area needs some TLC, like parts of the ground. ( overgrown in parts )
And some seating areas by the hostel. which are nice, but could be maintained. ( the memorial benches part )

Some pointers for people, for a more pleasurable stay, to help u out below

I'd recommend ear buds ( glad I took them ) as because it's also a hotel, people were coming and going in their cars till late, then really early. Which on the roads around the estate, have speed humps. So plenty of revving. But it is safer for children. Also the birds are lovely, but they do wake you up. So if u like a lie in, take some. The owls are beautiful sounding, but noisy at night

Also take some midgy spray which i did ( cuz it's on the river )

Those were the only down sides, so that's why I gave a lower score.

Lovely location, very tranquil and peaceful site. Staff were friendly. Price reasonable, facilities good.
