We stayed on North Riding which is mostly flat, we did have an evening of Scottish midges but thankfully they didn't return.
Не понравилось: Girlguiding are selling this site plus 4 others around the country - a disgusting and disappointing decision. Waddow is used by Girlguiding and Scouts members, youth working towards their Duke of Edinburgh, families, school and lots more! Waddow Hall Trust has been set up to help fight and purchase the sale of the Hall.
Excellent site. Infirmation on the website doesnt do it justice.

Не понравилось: The facilities didn’t work properly for the first day or two, we had spoke to other campers who said it had been like that for the three days before we arrived.
For the cost of the bell tents one would expect better facilities rather than having to traipse up and down a steep hill just to go to the toilet / wash etc.
I would strongly recommend choosing somewhere else for your camping trip if you’re looking for anything above very very basic and certainly for the price !

Unfortunately due to the geography of the land some of our facilities are a short walk from the campsite and car park, however we have taken your feedback on board and we are planning some upgrades to our sites over the winter period including a new pathway and potential roadway so that campers who use the bell tents can drive closer to their pitch.

We apologise for the water pressure issue's that you had during your stay, this was due to an unforeseen breakdown of our pumping system which is now fixed. We did try to rectify the issue over the weekend however we where unable too on this occasion.
We thank you for your feedback which will be used to further improve our site for our customers in the future, we will be working on upgrades to parking and access to the sites over the winter period ready for next season's camping.

We are very sorry to hear that your visit did not meet your expectations and it seems as though the service that you received fell very short of our usually high expectations and customer service. We do apologies' that your visit was unsatisfactory.
We did have a water pump failure over the weekend that you visited which led to poor/ no water pressure to our toilet blocks and led to some of our facilities having to close, this was an unforeseen event and we did try our hardest to rectify the situation. This was an isolated incident and the problem has subsequently been fixed.
