Tipis at Ponty is a fabulous site with lovely pitches that whilst quite close together give you the feel of privacy. The site is set in a lovely rural picturesque location and has super amenities including a compost toilet and eco showers.
The hosts couldn't be more helpful and generous with their time.
A great location for access to a variety of amazing walks and things to see and do although a car is a necessity for easy access to walks.
My dog was made welcome too and he also thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

Host was friendly and welcoming, giving us a tour of our pitching area and giving us information about the local area.
The pitch was in a beautiful location - well maintained wild camping area adjacent to stream and surrounded by plenty of wildlife.
We had an absolutely great time and will definitely return - hopefully with some friends and make use of the yurts and tipis!

Beautiful setting with great amenities. We usually do much more wild camping, but having the camp stove and fridge at our disposal was a treat.

You can hear some road noise.

Friendly owners, amazing facilities. Had everything we like in a site and much more. Love the kitchen/shop, outdoor cooking/lounge areas.

Very quiet, except for road noise but that was a minor inconvenience.

Just returned home from a lovely 7 night stay in the wild camping section.
The pitch was very spacious with loads of room for our tent and a tarp set up and situated in a lovely spot with the river behind . We spotted the resident kingfisher on 3 of the days , along with a multitude of butterflies and dragonflies.
The composting toilets are very clean and the shower is excellent. There's also a tap for drinking water and recycling bins for rubbish.
Ian and Jane are very friendly and helpful and the wild camping is an oasis of peace.
We will definitely return in the future and would highly recommend the site .

Absolutely everything!
Great facilities available, including a cute ‘sunset shack’ with an amazing view. A well stocked honesty box with everything you possibly need- we took some sausages to try when we get home! Owners were very welcoming and accommodating. We will definitely be back soon.

Tipis at Ponty is a great place to unwind and reconnect with nature, Ian who runs the site is incredibly helpful and made us feel welcome.

The Wild Camping Plot is basic but we didn't want anything fancy, the facilities were clean and in full working order (compost toilets, shower, drinking water, recycling).

Although basic, the location is wonderful; fresh stream, lots of wildlife and wild flowers, even ground and peaceful evenings.

Wish we stayed for longer!

Beautiful peaceful site , fantastic location, great sized pitch and brilliant host on hand to welcome and show us all the amenities.The cleanest compost toilets ever! Highly recommend and will be staying again!

The hosts were fantastic and made sure we had all we needed, thank you Jane and Ian! The facilities were fantastic and really made the stay perfect - we had quite a bit of rain but it didn’t matter as we were so close to the kitchenette, covered cooking area and toilets/showers. The views were spectacular and you still felt like you had your own space in your pitch. An excellent campsite.
