Lots of wildlife to see - wrens, owls, dragon and damselflies, toads galore!

Really nice that it is an adult only campsite.

The road noise is quite loud on Don Don and Algie plots which would put me off visiting again I'm afraid.

There is also a very steep hill down to Don Don and Algie which some campers may need to be aware of when booking - didn't bother us but worth noting.

Shower fans not working so the shower/toilet doors are going a bit mouldy...

Amazing place, lovely surroundings, the wild camping was the best we have been to very friendly owner and facilities although basis ( wild camping should be basic ) was clean and had everything we needed. Will definitely be returning

An absolutely incredible spot with gorgeous pitches. Went to bed and woke up to the sound of the sheep and the bird song. Ian and Jane were really welcoming, and seem to have thought of everything for guest’s comfort. Really helpful with recommendations and local knowledge.

Bed not the most comfy, showers not the warmest! Badly sign posted. Fire pit not the best.

a beautiful place, that's what we needed. The owners took care of everything, it was very clean, we had everything we needed, the tents were very clean and warm, I will definitely go back there

Perfect mixture of scenic views, bird song, tent locations, facilities. Owners were really helpful. Local walks and routes to shop/pub shown on notice board.
Seeing Kingfishers as well as many other birds.

The river. Peaceful campsite. The birds (woodpecker,blue tits). Loved the Sunday night pizza! Ten minutes walk to Lion Hotel. (Lovely three course meal there and reasonably priced). Ten minutes drive to Meifod where there's a free car park and lots of walks from there.

Peaceful campsite, helpful & friendly owners, good facilities, dog friendly, put pizzas on during a busy night that were excellent. The pitches were very spacious and private. Nothing to fault, perfect for what we wanted.

I don't know if there was WiFi and it won't let me not give an answer.

We would highly recommend this site. The hosts were very friendly and the cost of the pitch was extremely affordable. We were welcomed by Jane who gave us some very good recommendations of where to visit.
The pitches are very well spaced which is one of the main reasons we chose this site, it created privacy and a lovely atmosphere. We stayed in Mavis, it was in a great location. The facilities were very clean and we enjoyed a lovely walk around the grounds. We enjoyed the fire pit and the general atmosphere of the place and we felt very safe.
We would definitely return. I'd recommend this site to everyone

Hill down to the pitch with no car access so have to carry things down but wouldn't stop us staying again!
