Good facilities, toilets ran out of toilet paper and wasn’t given welcome pack

Lovely setting a walk to the beach - friendly staff/ good food - perfect as my second home along side the festival

Toilets and showers filthy

Greeted with a lovely smile at reception, they let me check in early and had the pitch inspector Ian meet me at the location with a welcome pack. Ian was great he was chatty and my 5 year old saw him and gave him a big hug which was unlike him. The park was great and had a viranda with tables and chairs so I could see the kids playing whilst having a drink. The staff were great and the views were amazing. Thank you Thorness Bay we will be back 😊

Travelled as a mature group (couple with mother in law)
Booking process was simple enough.
Prices were great value for money and a lot cheaper than other places.
We took a camper and awning.
Electric hook ups were great.
Checkin and tourer staff were super helpful and friendly. Great views from our pitch of the local countryside.
Very quiet time as only a few others were pitched for the duration. (All friendly, helpful and respectful )
I was worried about the shower facilities due to poor reviews… but they were fine! Better than other campsites I’ve been to for sure? They were decorated well enough and were clean enough.. probably just a matter of people using facilities when busy & not being respectful enough of shared facilities? The bath was a nice thought. But I didn’t need to use it as the showers were just fine.

Dishwasher area was as expected and good enough.

I didn’t use any other on-site facilities as wasn’t there long enough. I would have like to have gone to the beach by resort but time was not my friend.

Nothing to dislike. It’s a campsite! Not a 5 star luxury spa resort.

Pitches well laid out with easy access to electrics.
Wash blocks close by and clean.
Entertainment centre only a couple mins walk too.
All in all the site is lovely, entertainment was great and the views of the bay are stunning.

Swimming pool

No WiFi available where we were located.
Only WiFi available at the sites clubhouse area.

Site wasn’t too large

Not a great site for families.
No restrictions on noise so loud music and shouting until the early hours
No restrictions on vehicle traffic on site so cars driving in between pitches and around site until early hours
Showers were dirty, lots of things broken
‘Cleaning’ the toilet block and shower cubicles was someone wiping up the hair with loo roll
Hard to find opening times for anything
Rubbish and glass in the park
Swimming pool not clean and showers broken so not available
Lots of facilities really tired and worn and broken.

Not great for start of season

Would not recommend for families with small kids
Would not return
