Nice location, had everything you needed and was well looked after + pub on site also

Parking away from tent, loud group on fri night but not the fault of the campsite who dealt with the noise quickly

Choices to setup camp, can park close by, warm showers and mini shop on site

Hot tap in the bathroom was scolding

Everything, the staff were nice and helpful, the view around the campsite was great, despite the storm we had a good time.

Good facilities and friendly staff. The onsite shop is well stocked and prices fair. Lovely and dramatic location for the site.

Was difficult to get tent pegs into ground, which due to the high winds did present some issues.

The views were beautiful and the campsite itself was gorgeous with very clean and spacious toilet/shower blocks! The sheep in the fields around you are so funny to wake up to when they start 'baa'ing in the morning!

There could be more parking and it is very windy (we went in september tbf) but as long as you have your tent well secured then you should be fine!!

Lovely campsite, amazing views and the facilities were up to date/modern and catered for all of our needs, I would also recommend the shop as it supplies everything, very happy campers.

The scenery around the campsite was gorgeous.

The staff were very intense. Security walked around numerous times a day and if something wasn’t right would pretty much “tell you off”,
Fire had to be out by 11pm, a group next to us were threatened to be kicked out the next morning as they were talking at 11pm. The first night they had no water in the toilets so toilets wouldn’t flush. The security man claimed if we needed to go to the toilet we should “use the men’s” as it won’t smell as much.

The field after one day of rain was half flooded luckily we were leaving the next day. Would not have been able to set up a pitch on that field again until it had dried up.

Was not enough parking around the site, had to park slightly on the grass (not allowed) was told off. the only other parking at that time was at the restaurant which was a 10 minute walk up the hill. Told we could park anywhere on the gravel, parked next to a camper van who was taking pictures of my car as I had “parked too close”. Spoke to security who said I could park anywhere as long as it was on the gravel. Very confusing and mixed messages from staff.

Overall, I don’t know if we just had a one off experience but I would not camp here again. I’ve never felt so on edge with everything I do while camping. Everytime we seen security I felt like I was going to get told off for doing something like a child. Very intimidating. Never had any previous experiences like this on a campsite and I’ve been camping 10+ years. Ps I’m not a Karen this is probably the first bad review I’ve wrote ever.

Great location in a lovely peaceful site, excellent staff very helpful and friendly ,well stocked shop on site, Facilities showers toilets well maintained and kept very tidy and clean, very enjoyable stay will be returning next time we are back in the lakes.
