This was an amazing little campsite, we stayed for two nights, arrived on the dark and found it very easy to navigate where to go. Waking up to the 360 incredible views on a cold autumn morning and having the showers etc only a few minutes away.

Ullswater, Helvellyn and Aira force are all less than 10 minutes away by car and there is a lovely little pub on the campsite for post adventure pints!

Only thing I’d say is remember a mallet for your tent pegs as the ground is hard/rocky where we pitched up.

Really lovely stay, I had the hard standing pitch and camped in my car. Spacious with amazing views! Clean, good facilities and a nice reception with maps/essential items available.

The beautiful lady in the shop was really helpful and made us feel welcome. Great service. The only reason I’m giving high stars on the reviews is because of the two ladies in the shop I don’t want it to effect them I just wanted to get my point across about the pub workers.

First night we went to the pub and the two men were very off with us and quite judgmental we didn’t like the experience at all. The server offered every customer the special apart from us before and after. It’s a shame because the food was actually really nice we planned staying longer but once we ate we left.

Amazing place nestled deep in in the mountains of Lake District, with some incredible views. Very peaceful, I had a fantastic night despite the rainy weather. There's a well stocked shop on site, clean toilets and showers, and a really cosy pub with good local beers on tap. The management looks after the site really well, and the site policies which might seem strict at first really do benefit everyone, I've spent too many sleepless nights due to noise in other places..
The only thing that might bother some people is the complete lack of cellular signal, which I didn't mind personally, and the site description is quite clear about this. The shop area has a decent WiFi signal for when you want to contact someone or check the weather, so it's not really a big issue.

By far the best campsite I've stopped on in the Lake District, from arriving and checking in the staff were very helpful and friendly, the toilet and shower block was very clean and warm. The onsite shop was well stocked with a wide range to choose from. The views just speak for themselves

We liked that they have facility to take a shower, washing and drying your clothes. Also to wash all your pots in pans in convenience.
I love the scenery of the place even though its a remote area. It was a great camping experience there is a lot to see, great views while you were walking and hiking if you want. It is very good for retreat specially if you want to get away from the city. There is also falls nearby the site to visit. We really enjoyed spending our time in this place. So quiet and relaxing. We will definitely coming back again two nights is not enough to enjoy the surrounding area.

There is nothing to dislike in this place.
