Travelled with my dog, who’s not particularly enamoured by other dogs….Even with this being a small site it was barely an issue and there were 8 dogs in total at one point!

The site is extremely well kept and the facilities are probably the nicest I’ve seen to date. All the pitches are level and there’s a good amount of space for each pitch and a picnic table.

The pub is cosy and looks to have recently been refurbished. The owner and staff are incredibly welcoming.

I enjoyed the site and peace and quiet here that much, I extended my stay by a couple of nights…so the honesty shop came in handy for some extra coffee too!

Will definitely return.

Washing up area and honesty shop

Showers / toilets not cleaned, pub only sell pies ( when open) no Sunday lunch , camping area nothing like shown on pitch up , had to find everything ourselves bins etc , busy main road not peaceful, think it was sold to recent owners as beautiful but what’s happened?

Location is good for accessing towns on the River Wye, this site is easy to find with nice level pitches which drains well which was lucky considering the wet August weather. The owners are lovely, happy to open the bar when the pub is closed for guests of campsite and b & b. Facilities are adequate for the size of the site and there is a small honesty shop for essentials.
We were pleased that there was wifi as we had no tv reception.

We didn’t dislike anything however there are a few things that could improve the experience of staying such as improving facilities for recycling, having a mop in showers and adding soap dispensers into shower rooms.

If you want a quick stop over this place is fine as long as you just want only somewhere safe to rest and have option for EHU.

Honesty box in the small shop with basics , tea, coffee etc

Site is not suitable for dogs, only place to walk them is along a busy A road with no path. The pitches are all quite close to each other, so no space to walk them on site either . We left after 3 hours and did not return, rather waste the money than stay and have to drive out to take dogs for walk 1st thing in the morning and last thing at night.
Also think 35 per night is very over priced.

Well maintained and laid out with good, pretty clean facilities. Loved the honesty shop, really good idea! Pub was nice but not open Sunday night!

All the toilets were in shower rooms so if they were all being used for showers at the same time you could be waiting a while!

Quiet site with flat pitches. We had a friendly welcome and the site had good facilities that were clean. It had everything you needed and more as the pub/restaurant was on site and it even had an honesty shop. Great!

When people were using the showers there were no separate toilets.

Easy to find and quiet location. Stocked kitchen with an honesty system in place. Good wash up room Site was quite clean.
Walked to the river along reasonably busy roads but worth it when you get there, about 30min walk.
Lovely couple running the Swan pub. £5 a pint.

Showers - constantly ran cold if someone else was using a shower. No hand soap or hand dryer. I would have cleaned the floor but no mop was provided, also no drain hole to wash the floor down when it was wet and muddy. Not cleaned on a daily basis.
I would have eaten in the pub but I don't like pies, no other choice, makes me think they are missing out on generating some revenue, especially as you have to drive to the next nearest pub.

Easy to find campsite with decent showers/toilets. Friendly hosts, good location for walks, and a pub right on site.

Needs a couple more things in the showers to be able to clean up after yourself. Floor squeegees would be great!

Not about the site, but the pub was quite basic. Couldn’t work out whether they’d just taken on the business or if that was what they’d settled on. Staff were super friendly, though.

It was small 8 pitches & adults only, each pitch had there own tap & electric point.Good local ales & ciders .
Lovely large beer garden

The site needed some TLC , the utility posts were overgrown with nettles & brambles.
Toilets & showers lacked soap,paper towels/hand dryers . There was nothing to clean the shower for the next occupant ( ie mop, or squeegee) the bins in there were not emptied during our stay & there was an empty shower gel bottle in one of the showers .
The pub is only open from Thursday to Sunday , with a very limited menu of pie’s only (2 off which we’re sold out on the Thursday when we were the first people in there to order )
The pub signs made visibility difficult on exit
