The friendliness of the camp and the welcome tour of the facilities. The onsite shop and use of sum up make it easy to buy bits that had been forgotten or drinks and ice creams when the weather was glorious!
The children loved feeding and petting the animals and making the most of the play park.

Showers were too hot and we were unable to cool down the temperature.

the site is set out lovely, we had plenty of space, my little boy absolutely adored all of the animals and the park is brilliant for children of all ages. everyone is super friendly, we met Jo one of the owners and she was absolutely lovely and told us about lots of the animals. toilets were clean, didn’t use shower.

Absolutely fabulous pace. We hardly ever saw the kids they were off meeting the animals, playing in park or making dens in the woods. We felt that they were safe and secure and living their best lives. Site lovely and clean, staff friendly and couldn't do enough for you, food lovely, pitches large. Showers hot and cleaned regularly. Fire pits on hand if required. Can not fault it in fact booked again already

Not a dislike, but take some flip flops into showers. Showers are cleaned very regularly but as of the nature of the ground the floor can be abit dirty.

Everything! What a fantastic little friendly site this is. Absolutely loved every minute. Very friendly staff. Animals were so cute. The waste disposal collection didn’t even put us of our beer 😂. Will definitely be back.

The playarea Excellent site visited many times now and just gets better everytime a hidden jem if you love the outdoors animals and family time. Booking the caravan which allowed dogs and had a lockable wrap around decking area and then finding the hidden back garden perfect for my flight risk 4 year old, safe friendly site which my 7 year old boy happily bikes around visits the animals and the play area staff always avaliable and keeping an eye on any issues that may occur, and my teenage and nephew thought the toilet blocks were excellent mainly due to them being able to get a signal in them haha. Something for everyone and my favourite place to vist can't wait till next year ❤️🌻

Having to leave

Just got back from our 2nd stay here, we booked 6 nights and ended up staying 9 nights,my daughter usually struggles with 3 nights camping, she is autistic and hardly ever leaves the tent, it was her 1st time here and we never saw her, she was walking around for hours looking at all the animals also talking to Alicia, who took time to tell her all about the animals and there names even though she was busy ( thank you) when she wasn’t looking at the animals she was fishing 1st thing in the morning and after dinner, her iPad was a distant memory lol she didn’t want to come home, the toilets/showers were clean, there was a bit of sand in there sometimes but with kids running in and out all the time it’s expected, there is a floor squeegee in there to rinse it away, we spent time in the bar that supplies a good choice of drinks and a good price too, the shop is well stocked and the breakfast from the cafe is absolutely amazing! We made sure we had another before we left. We have already booked to go again!

Absolutely nothing!

The local woodland walks

The toilets were filthy and smelly. The ground was like sand. It was unfortunate our 'neighbour' chose to urinate directly outside his tent despite the toilets being a few meters away. The language of some campers was appalling. A disappointing stay.

Quite a quirky campsite. Best suited to families with children, I would say. All the animals were nice to see and there were play areas. Cafe, bar and shop on site but we didn't use them. Very quiet location...remote even. Good for woodland walks if that's your thing. Fishing too. Hire of fire pits is something I haven't seen before. Laundry room, microwave & kettle for anyone to use....it had most things needed. Friendly staff. Looks as if they put on entertainment, based on old adverts on display..

But a few things needed attention and modernising....the toilets & showers (hooks for hanging clothes), the washing up area was grim. The decking around these facilities needed repairing. It was a very sandy site, which can't be helped, but it did make for a grubby stay.

The local area

We stayed here with 3 young children.
Goose poo covering the pitches ,
No grass on the electric hook up area just red sand .
The pictures displayed online are clearly either when they opened years ago or photoshopped.
Everything was very run down , needed replacing or broken .
The children’s play area shouldn’t be open due to health and safety issues .
We booked a 4 night stay
However ended up leaving after two as it was that bad .
Would highly recommend avoiding this camp at all costs .
