Very friendly welcome from the proprietor, he offered us a suitable pitch for us to be next to our friends.
Beautiful location, close to Buxton.
Loved the play area for the children, and the firepits were a nice touch.

The hand wash in the toilets was empty for most of the stay as it had not been replenished.

Not enough toilets. Especially mens. Need 3 times as many or atleast urinals as well.

Beautiful campsite! Being under the trees felt very private and very peaceful. Really good location too.

Only downfalls were that we stayed for 3 days and the soap in the toilets ran out on day 2 and 3 and was not filled up.
Bins were overflowing by day 2 making it more difficult to dispose of our rubbish.

The play area, sunset views.staff friendly and Morrisons not far away. Ground was great for pitching.

I think the toilets and showers are inadequate for the size of the camp. Unfortunately they were poorly maintained and often no loo roll. 2 toilets for the ladies and if you sat in one when someone was having a shower you also got a free shower... We were asked to turn music down at 8 . Tent and cars were covered in Sap of the trees... My tent needed washing and resealing 😔 quiet a bit of traffic going past the play area .

We had a lovely stay. Has all the facilities required. Great location. Lovely scenery. Childrens area.
Yes it's £1 for showers but I think its a good idea, as it limits people's time using them, preventing any hold ups for others waiting to use them across site.

Owner was helpful, nice and peaceful except the thoroughfare right through the middle of the campsite adjacent to the children’s play are

Thoroughfare through the centre of the site. Every pitch is under trees that drip sap all over tent/ caravan. Not suitable for caravans as drive very rough and uneven. The toilets are very inadequate, only 2 ladies loos for whole site and no disabled access, altho a disabled toilet is available inside the cabin they are in. The stairs upto the toilets are very rickety too.

Was asked to park my car on designated areas of pitch (which I agree with) but a lot of the other campers kept their cars next to their pitch. When we arrived the toilet blocks were lovely and clean but by the evening and morning there was no toilet rolls and very dirty. They need to be kept on top of. Other than that it would have gotten 5 stars.

The toilet facilities were clean and well maintained. A very friendly welcome with good information about the site and local amenities.

The showers were a little confusing. You put your money in, then have 2 minutes to get ready before the water starts. This could have been better signposted.
