Toilets lovely clean and warm, very welcoming and leave you to get on with. Due to a break down n road closures got there approx 9pm but allowed us to do a basic set up. Pitches were big and allowed space between set ups but limited for bigger rigs due to trees. Local farmer on hand with small tractor to pull stuck cars/vans and 4×4 out.

I understand that owners can not control the weather however i do feel that gravel tracks and paths instead of dirt/mud tracks may help with cars even 4×4 getting stuck and will help people get to and from toilets. Road leading to site could do with repairing also. Better signage for drinking water and elsen point. Do require to pay for showers however i feel due to the storm and muddy pitches this could of been revised with weather taken into account. Factory noise can be heard as you are close to an industrial site, you are advised when booking you have to drive through the industrial site but not that you can hear it. You do hear planes on their way to east mids airport you seem to be under a flight path but thus noise does stop about midnight.

Lovely welcome on arrival, small nature area to walk around with a children's play park right next to it. Pitches are organised nicely.

Friendly reception, clean facilities. Lots of trees.

Cramped showers aren't good if you are tall, wide or have children. Coin operated showers, good for environment but questionable charging for them given the overall cost of site.

The facilities were great and very welcoming. Also had food delivery places direct to the campsite- great for rainy day

Couldn’t park by the pitch and the car got stuck in the mud when unloading. pitches also on slope so some were very wet

Very muddy in places as it had been raining a lot. Watch out for muddy and slippy paths around toilet block.

Distance to Buxton was nice, short walk to a bus stop as well which can take you to a lot of places. Site was quiet

Incredibly basic. Have to pay for showers which is a pain especially seeing as the showers were dirty. No soap in the facilities at all over the weekend. Struggled getting on to my pitch as there is a no path and the weather had been bad. Expensive for what you get.

Basic pitches - small camp site but great for the kids - lovely park and visible from all pitches so felt like kids were safe

Facilities - the toilet and shower block is so dated and dirty. Never have I paid so much for a site and then paid to use the showers and there are only 2 showers! Surely the price you pay for the pitches could be put into updating the facilities. We seemed to pay a lot for not very much

Different from other campsites, surrounded by trees. Very nice, as long as it stays dry and does not rain.
Nice 30-40 mins walk into Buxton. 20 mins drive into Bakewell
Views are absolutely stunning

Expensive for what it is
We booked 4 nights for a standard, pitch with touring caravan. Cost £160 by the time electric, awning and dogs were added. Electric £10 per night
Came home a day early due to it being very muddy after it rained. Had to put the awning back up when we got home to clean it.
Showers cost £1 for 6 mins, and we’re not the cleanest of showers with only 2 toilets
Could do with spending some money on the campsite, maybe hardstanding pitches and updating shower block
Will not be going back
