quiet, remote, relaxed

Peaceful stay on a level site. Sufficient toilet and shower facilities which were clean and well maintained. Even though the site is next to a working farm the site was very quiet. Would definitely book again.

The sight was as it stated/booked grass field non electric. Convenient for our plans. Central to a lot of walks.

One Shower and two toilets, with the amount of people staying over a busy weekend is not enough.

Great location - easy to walk plenty of different routes from site. Nice views and plenty of space. Facilities well maintained and jacket potato van on site serving in the evenings and breakfast baps on Sunday morning available (didn’t try but looked good!)

Had to move pitch after one night as neighbours SO noisy with music and smoking weed until the early hours (the other side of the site was lovely and peaceful though!) Only one female shower so long queue from 5pm.

family ran farm. Idilic settings. 2 fields. Toilet, showerss, wash room. No electric hook up which makes no difference to us. Lovely place.

Absolutely Disgusting

The entire site was filthy. There were blood stains, feces, and urine on the floors — all right next to the area where they prepare food to sell. There wasn’t any toilet roll in the bathrooms.

The washing-up area wasn’t any better. Mouldy food clogged the plug holes, and the floors were filthy. It clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time.

The staff were rude, unfriendly, and seemed completely uninterested in helping anyone. The general attitude was miserable, like they didn’t want to be there — and neither did we, after experiencing it.

We considered grabbing a jacket potato from the food van on Saturday, but after taking one look inside on the way back to our tent, we lost our appetite. The van was just as filthy as everything else, and the people preparing the food looked just as unhygienic.

The whole atmosphere of the place felt grim and unsettling — honestly, it was like something out of The Hills Have Eyes. Not somewhere I’d ever return to, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

Only 2 toilets for women (often unclean and left with no loo roll)
The shower - only one shower for women - and you have to pay £1 for 3 mins. You cannot put in several pound coins at once to acrew time. You must get out of the shower every 3 mins if you require more time and add another coin. Also didn’t feel that I could take my crocs off in there- it looked like something out of a prison documentary! Bare concrete floors!

Very nice campsite we managed to get a corner pitch which was good as it did get a little busy. The sites perfectly placed amongst loads of incredible hiking trails
