Lovely pub nearby. Interesting history in CHapel Le Dale nearby

- The barn was great to shelter from the rain, to get coffee and snacks from the vending machine and the wifi was very strong in the barn which was great to download entertainment.
- The shower and toilet block was very clean.
- Quiet site great for a restful night.
- Beautiful scenery, with views Whernside.
- Close to the village great if you want a meal out or to go to the pub.
- Great location for doing the Three Yorkshire peaks.
- The cafe/shack that is opens on weekends was fab, we had a breakfast one morning as it was raining lovely homecooked full english breakfast for a great price.
Overall 10/10 stay.

- The cafe/shack in the barn not being open in the week. Maybe not out of season but for the some of the summer holidays.

So glad we chose Philpin Farm for our two night stay whilst we tackled the Yorkshire Three Peaks. The field (on two levels) was really free draining, so despite a very wet weekend, there was no standing water or mud around the tents. Cars not allowed on the field so that helps. There's an overflow car park right opposite. Views of Whernside and surrounding countryside were fabulous and we are now spoilt for future camping sites as we will always want a Philpin barn! It was perfect for planning walks in the warm and dry and consuming hot drinks & snacks from the machine (accepts payment by phone). You can pre order cooked breakfast and packed lunches and buy any little things you might have forgotten, like midge lotion. There is wifi and the showers were hot and free. If it hadn't been for the barn, we four girls would have had to spend two dull evenings sitting alone in our one wo/man tents; we wouldn't have been able to sit outside. The Y3P route goes right through the farm and other walkers can use the barn too (but guests have private toilets & shower facilities). Dave and niece Anna were friendly, chatty and informative. Mason's Arms in Ingleton was really nice, lovely food and we were told there were other good pubs close by. Sadly the Old Hill Inn was not open to non residents whilst we were there; a shame as it was literally a 5 minute walk! We've told all our walking buddies and are planning a return next summer! Thanks for a great stay, Philpin! From the Footloose Four (Y3P team you noticed running the last few metres trying beat the 12hr goal..we did by 5 minutes!)

The open field, quiet campsite, walks from the tent, shower and toilet facilities. Owners very helpful signposting to local indoor activities when the rain got too much!

Had an amazing stay. The campsite is right on the Yorkshire three peaks route. It’s got great, clean facilities and is well equipped if you’ve forgotten anything. Will definitely return and be recommending to friends.

Fantastic views, lovely friendly hosts! The shower/toilet blocks are clean and easy to access. The barn is a great space for games, WiFi and a brew in the rain!
