Great position on a very well equipped friendly site

–

- Polite and welcoming staff - made a deliberate effort to accommodate and explain where I where I was permitted to camp.

- Safety - an obvious standout; there is a distinct effort made (more-so than other campsites) to ensure that late arrivals are not permitted (gates are locked after 7pm) and that numbers for support are obviously signposted around the site.

- Decent showers/toilet facilities (single cubicles that were kept clean for both) - hot water is provided (as per instructions given), though the pressure was a bit low.

- Noise till quite late (11pm) from neighbouring campers - I've camped a lot and this was the first time I've been kept up by noise, even compared to more densely packed campsites.

- Tractor on site at early times - may have been due to the timing of the year, but I was also woken up early by a tractor driving repeatedly right by my tent, mowing the grass - it's not clear to me why this was being started at 7-8am by campers.

I booked for the weekend when there was a storm. I called the camp direct and the manager let slide my date for two weeks later.
The grounds, were lovely. Loads of stuff for kids to do and lots of open space. the staff were fantastic and were so good with my son. the location was amazing. As soon as we set up, we went on a long walk to bodium castle.
The manager let me move my tent to a pitch closer to the WIFI. This was a massive plus as I’d accidentally booked to be on call for work while away. This made things a lot easier and the help from the manager couldn’t have been more.

Nothing

The upgrade to electric plug in. We were able to choose where we wanted to park up. Walks straight off the site. Facilities. Friendliness of staff. Having an open fire pit.

A noisy neighbour. Drilling all day. Noisy music which we didn't like all evening. Luckily, they respected the quiet time after 10pm.

Very good location for exploring the local area - walking distance to Bodiam Castle and steam railway. Friendly staff always available. Clean shower and washroom facilities. Site ideal for young children - particularly liked play area.

Everything . Huge and well equipped site . Fantastic facilities , clean and tidy everywhere . Great walking routes . Friendly and helpful site wardens . Great play area for kids , on site shop.

It was quick, quiet and tranquil.
Check in was great - name, you’re here, well directed and guided.
The venue was quiet, few people maybe, but a few larger groups and even a “concert” one evening, but quietened down early enough for our 4kids ages 4-11 to rest ok.
Tranquil, evenings fires and star watching, blissful.

Out of hours darkness, we were on the far field and bit of a dark trek - torches more available (is not the site).
Pitches marked with flags/number posts but not explicit where the boundary/edge was so little bit of negotiation. Should the flag be middles, edges (left of flag to next flag?).

The shower and toilet facilities were great. Easy to find.

Would have liked more sheltered areas for tents, we were told not to go in the numbered bays so we were quite exposed even though there was alot of spaces empty. It was a windy weekend!

Lovely and spacious campsite, had a barn with bar and pool table and small shop, toilets and showers were clean. Would be a little stuck if you stayed here without a car, but we had a great time with very friendly staff.
