Fantastic location- our children loved the river and surroundings.
So peaceful and a great vibe.
Bathroom good.
Would definitely stay again but probably not in the lodge.

Accommodation was a bit tired. Bulbs missing and found rubbish behind sofa from previous bursts. Could benefit from a revamp.
BBQ was filthy so could not use.

Quaint little site with plenty to keep the kids entertained.
Will definitely be visiting again.

Loved the little stream running through the camp, great for kids to go paddling in and a lovely view. Lots of things for kids to do - rope swing/swings and great for them to see the chickens roaming around.

The only thing I thought that could be improved are the toilet/shower facilities. Could be bigger and cleaner

The river! The swings over the river, and the fish!
Running water in the toilets. Good water pressure in the shower if you’re lucky enough to shower when there isn’t anyone in the other one.

Lack of soap in the new toilets.. which also seemed to need emptying by Thursday.

We absolutely love this place. The site is clean and tidy, the stream is so beautiful and safe for children to play in all day. With rope swings and a zip line over the water, ours also brought rubber floats to sit on to leisurely float down stream.
The various tree swings and the small park area are perfect too.
There’s a lovely Cave bar that’s open at various times of the year and is well stocked and sells little toys for children. Various outdoor toys for small children to play with are near by and a small seating area but no one sits there all night being rowdy and loud.
The kids loved watching the chickens roam free and across the stream is a farm that has horses in the field that come to say hello.
Fire pits can be hired and the owners will deliver them to your tent.
There are no set pitches marked out once you are directed to either EHU or non EHU. We love this campsite for an easy, no fuss stay that keeps the kids occupied.
If you want a day out, Sundown Adventure Land is about 30 minutes drive and a fab day out for under 10s.
The site is also on a flight path for a small airfield and aircraft come over low every few minutes during the day which the kids absolutely love.

There is only one shower and two toilets per gender so it’s best to shower at times when it’s less likely others will need to shower if you can.
The small kitchen area only has one sink but does have a couple of large fridges and a freezer. These were however very dirty when we went. I don’t think they are particularly monitored and if someone has left them in a state, no one seems to take charge of restoring them back to any usable state. It’s a shame people leave things like this but I feel someone from the staff team could at least once or twice a week come and disinfect the fridges and keep them sanitary.

So much to like. Relaxed feel, pitch where you like so you can get the sun or the shade. Beautiful surroundings, great set up for kids to play. Free WiFi, bar was open, which was an unexpected bonus and added some atmosphere with music in an evening (head over to the other side of the river if you don’t want it too loud). Chickens pecking about, wood and fire pits to hire. Kids said it was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed.

If you're looking for a slick operation with a purpose built shower block etc, this isn’t the place for you. Facilities are a bit worn but having said that, my shower was hot, plentiful and free, we never had to queue for toilets or the shower, there was always hot water for washing up and there were fridges and a freezer for ice blocks.

You can hear the road noise but I only really noticed it at night. Certainly didn’t bother us.

Facilities were adequate, would be improved if both taps worked in the ladies toilets and the block at the back had power to it.

Loved the little stream running through the site where kids could paddle. Loved the tree swings and play area although they could do with some tlc.

The amount of tents allowed at one time. We struggled to find a space to pitch..ended up practically on the play area in a muddy part as nobody is given a specific pitch.

Setting was lovely, lots for children to do. The children loved the stream and swimming/ paddling in it
Family friendly and hosts very welcoming

Not a dislike - but would benefit from more toilet facilities as it was very busy when we stayed and was often a few people queuing
