And you're correct, we're very fortunate in that many of our campers are indeed lovely, many will converse with one another (but the pitches are spaced far enough apart to allow some private time as well lol). Didn't do the activities as kids weren't really interested, but I think I'll be bring a whole range of stuff next time I stay here to accompany the on-site activities! Facilities were kept nice and clean and probably one of the only campsites I have ever stayed at that had decent showers!
Не понравилось: Can't really call it a dislike, as the weather, vehicles and activities don't help with the situation, but the pathway to the showers was ultra muddy (although they were putting woodchip down as we were leaving) so if you stay on these pitches take some sliders with you!
Showers could do with some brighter lights in if I'm being really fussy.
Thanks for your review, and the “dislikes” are fair criticisms. The wet weather has indeed been a nightmare for us, we try and maintain the pathways as best as possible in these wet conditions but sometimes it does feel like a losing battle (just so you m ow, after 2 days of sunshine, the paths are good as gold, it really is amazing how quickly the conditions can change). We are in the process of installing solar lighting in all toilets and showers, so next time you come this will be resolved. We’re glad you had a good time overall and enjoyed the site and we hope to see you again in the future.

We stayed in the forest area, which was gorgeous. Swam in the lake too. You've got all the facilities you need (although we needed our own loo paper, so might be worth bearing in mind!) and lots to explore just on the campsite itself. If you're coming here, it's worth staying long enough to spend some time on the site. We wished were staying longer! Also got a very friendly welcome when we arrived. Thanks for a lovely stay.
