Small well presented site with lots of amenities and facilities

Had to buy logs from the site for camp fires and shop closed at 8

Location is lovely, really quiet and peaceful. Shop is well stocked.

After reading about how lovely the accommodation is, we were rather disappointed when we arrived. The inside of the lodge was not as shown in pictures, with a large stain on the sofa and cobwebs round the lodge. There was no outdoor ambient lighting, only a very bright light in the outdoor kitchen that instantly attracted all the insects and made you feel like you were on a stage for all the campsite to see. There was no lighting at all around the hot tub, so unable to see to use it at night. Campsite facilitates were out of loo roll for most of the 4 days we were there. No Wi-Fi in the cabin as stated in the listing as it doesn’t reach the cabin.

Sehr ruhig gelegene Campsite abseits der touristisch überlaufenen Orte. Diese sind aber per Auto in 20 Minuten erreichbar, wenn man möchte. Schöne Ausblicke auf die hügelige Umgebung. Kleiner Shop, saubere Toiletten und , Waschmaschine etc.

Site was nicely laid out, we were in a camper at the top so good view of the hills

Stayed for two nights which was reasonably priced

On arrival I was met by Vanessa and Micheal who were so friendly and helpful and made our stay perfect for all the family.
The toilets and showers were clean and hots showers too. Great washing up facilities and even a washing machine and dryer if you need one. Campsite fridge and freezer super clean.
On site shop with everything you need and not crazy prices.
Any noise stopped around 10.30-11 and made the campsite bliss. Close to many different fun spots for all the family

There was walm welcome. Good facilities.

Found site very cramped, not much room , too close to other campers . Views where we were , weren’t great. Ended up leaving day early.

Van Pitches are poor on The “terrace” which I’m going to say is not suitable for vans if the weather is wet. The surface is poor, uneven, rocky and with very little acrisp soil and grass, cannot even take a peg for an awning. Churned up with rain. We struggled to not get stuck and we’re moved down to the only alternative spot next to the toilets for the remaining nights of our stay.

Noise rules were not applied.
Children playing in toilets at 11pm. Large groups. Lots of noise until late. Over the bank holiday weekend, this was not a quiet place to be.

Toilets, although kept clean and stocked by the two site managers, are not big enough. Two cubicles next to two showers is not big enough.

The young couple with the little boy who work there & live onsite are very friendly & helpful, nothing is too much bother.
The facilities are really clean, lots of hot water, always stocked up with soap, hand towels & toilet roll.
Really good having a shop on site that sells the basics & not too pricey.

Ground really stoney in places,so difficult to peg down, even with reinforced pegs.
