We pitched right beside the river in the first field to the right of reception, it was very quiet. The other field seemed to have more children playing around. We had a lovely view and whilst we were there we saw a kingfisher, heron, squirrel and lots of dragonflies. The toilet and shower block were immaculate and there was music playing. There was a lovely walk along the canal but it was quite overgrown in places so we had to dodge the brambles and nettles. The site is next to a busy road so you do hear traffic noise.

Booked this place for a weekend as the placed looked amazing on the website.
When we arrived we was told to chose our own pitch which was a nightmare as it was tight with hardly any room in places.
After setting up and spending a couple of hours there we wanted to pack up and leave the place the site was full of kids running around smashing things up booting footballs at electrical boxes that eventually opened up and was exposed to anyone.
I also tried to take my children to the park twice which my children refused as there was children swearing at each other and trying to snap the seesaw in half.
Just feel like the people running this site had no control over anything that was going which was a shame because if it wasn't for all this I would of definitely returned

Love the pitches in front of the water, so relaxed. Bathroom for ladies was exceptional! So clean and has everything. Temperature controlled shower, hairdryer with a mirror which you never get. Exceptionally clean floors and sinks with soap and hand cream. Lots of hooks in shower room which you don’t normally get.
Little bar in an old hose box with tables and umbrellas, food van of a weekend. Love this place.

The fact we could choose our own pitch!
The Toilet block and shower facilities are very clean and modern, the small touches make such a difference! (soap and hand lotion and music playing in the bathrooms)

Very friendly. If you manage to get a river side pitch then this location is amazing.
The toilets and showers were the best we have seen.
Walks along the canal and river are amazing.

The nearby dual carriageway is a little loud.
