Booked with friends and we were not next to them so bit disappointing especially as others that were together didn't socialise like us. They went out and used it as a base
We did a circular walk 7 miles ..we walked to the Dusty Miller pub, along the canal to The Swan at Marbury. It was lovely despite the weather, beautiful scenery and we had a gorgeous meal in the Swan. Highly recommend

It is a lovely site, there is room for improvement in terms of toilet block needing a deep clean but it is acceptable. Just make sure you are quiet and stick to the rules without deviation. It was incredibly hot, we were having a good time and things did get lively. It is camping, in a field..... We were in bed before 11pm and quietened down by 10pm as others did.

Thanks for the review. In response:
1. As to "cowardly and rudely approching the girls":
a. by "girls" I assume you mean your wife and her friend.
b. by speaking to them 'first', I assume that in the afternoon, you were too drunk to remember (other campers advised that you had been drinking since 9am) that I asked you to stop shouting and swearing twice. The first time you were shouting "f* *k off, f**k off,f**k off,f**k off," to whom I understand were the grandparents in the group during what you considered a friendly argument. Not 10 seconds later when you came to the loo I was cleaning, I asked you again, and you denied any knowledge of it. On my way back to the house, I spoke to whom I assume was your wife who was on her way to the dog field. I was polite and advised that we'd had complaints and would inevitably get a bad review from other campers and she agreed that the shouting and swearing would stop.
c. We recently got a 1/5 star review on Google which we've disputed. It clearly stated that we have a lovely site which was ruined by the "all day shouting, drinking and swearing from another large group". No points for guessing which group that was. Inevitably, we now get your review for being told your behaviour was both inconsiderate and inappropriate. The cycle continues.
2. As to the showers being deep cleaned, yes, at the end of a long season, they have just been deep cleaned.
3. As to being in my back yard, it's funny you should say that.
4. As to sticking to the rules without deviation, the rules are there as a guide. All I ask is that you are considerate of other campers and the neighbours. Sadly, you (particularly the two males) were not.
All the best finding a campsite more to your liking next time.

The owner of the site came round in the late evening and got people to quite down which we really appreciated as it drives us mad when there's people partying in a tent in the middle of the night on a campsite!
The little shop was sweet and fairly priced. Got a lovely coffee and some cold drinks on a boiling hot day so appreciated that.
The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful.
Would definitely visit again!Не понравилось: It looked like the tent pitches were on a slight hill so think that could potentially be an issue for tenters. Wasn't an issue for us so more of just a heads up for people going with a tent during busy periods as not sure you could always guarantee a level site.
Honestly though the site really ticks the boxes.

Thanks for the review. In repsonse:
1. There's a booking cofirmation email (1), a payment reminder email 14 days before (2), and a pre-arrival email with all the info you need so you don't need to check in 3)....outrageous I know.
2. The fire pits have 24kg of hardwood plus lighters and matches. The wood is £17 worth, making the fire pit £4 for the duration of your stay....outrageous I know. We are also vat registered so we lose the vat on that monstrous profit too. The logs are stored in waterproof bags, under the fire pit lid. Not sure how they were damp but you could have asked us to swap them.
3. We have 7 tourer pitches in a row together. At the worst case scenario, your furthest friends would have been 50m away... outrageous I know.
Hope you find somewhere more to your liking next time.
