Some road noise but it didn't bother us.

clean tidy site, well organized. Toilets, dish washing and elsen point all clean and in a good position on the site. easy access to local shops and pubs.

My second visit here. Very clean shower block, tp provided and strong water-pressure. Staff walked me to the pitch and gave me a choice of pitches.

Aldi and petrol station are a minute away by car, 5m walk. A choice of pubs and Chinese take-away 10 minute walk away. Outdoor activities including water-sports a short drive away. Large but quiet site, lots of greenery and trees. Will return again.

We had a great break here over Christmas . The young couple running the site were lovely and so helpful. The location is very convenient and within a 15 minute walk there are 3 great pubs and Chinese takeaway. Aldi and Greggs and Subway are a 5 minute walk.
The site does get some road noise but as it’s winter and we weren’t outside much this wasn’t a problem. The shower block is spotless and warm. There’s a fabulous country park a few minutes drive away and the Aquadict and Llangollen just down the road. Highly recommended.

The electricity cut out quite a lot which we weren’t expecting as we we were using gas for our heating.

Easy access to a very pretty site, lovely friendly staff, fully serviced pitch with a good satellite signal, (pitch 9). Walking distance to an Aldi, Londis, Costa, Subway and petrol station (5 min walk) and a further 7 minutes to the small town of Ruabon with a few good pubs. We ate at the Wynnstay arms and the food was great, lovely staff and dog friendly in the bar. The nearby town of Llangollen is also nice for a mooch around.

The road noise is quite loud as the site backs onto a dual carriageway. This wasn’t a major issue for us as we live on a main road, but maybe for some people. However the 6 amp electric was a big issue.

it was going off all the time and we were being very careful with what we used, in the end we were running our fridge, heating, hot water and cooker off our own gas, and using a low am kettle so the only thing we had on was the TV, but it still went off over 60 times in an night. The issue was not our usage, but that of others and the problem is when someone else trips it, it blows the entire site.The warden sent a text to everyone asking them to be mindful of the amount of appliances they used, but clearly some people didn’t listen and were most likely trying to heat their awnings with electric heaters or something.
I know not everyone goes away to watch TV, but we like to settle down in the evening and watch a film or something. It was ridiculous that you couldn’t even use a tv without tripping the electric.

In my opinion 6 amps is just not sufficient for a caravan site these days, or at the very least the site should change it so it blows individual pitches and not everyone’s! Sadly this one issue would put me off going again? as it is a huge issue which out ways all the positives? of which there are many.

Very warm welcome, shown to lovely level pitch with all amenities. Shower block impeccably clean and warm, lovely walks around well kept safe and secure site. Great location for visiting numerous towns and villages.
