Great location next to a great pub and great landlady! Large pitches with grey waste drain right next to each pitch was a nice bonus. Definitely be back

Small and beautiful place to stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Resident bird of prey was beautiful. Book your meal in advance as it's a very small busy pub. The village is also very pretty and has a nice cafe

Stayed 3 nights.
Well maintained site, level pitches with grey water drainage, each pitch has its own picnic table and bench.
Very friendly and helpful owners.
Excellent onsite pub, The Chequers Inn which also does food.
Bonus of having another pub Stanhope Arms, just 2 minutes walk down the street, which also serves food.
The entrance to the site at the side of the pub is a bit tight but easily negotiated with care.
10/15 minute drive to Attenborough Nature Reserve and Wollaton Hall and Deer Park, both an enjoyable walk, both have a tea room and Wollaton hall has a free to enter Museum.
Plenty of retail outlets and supermarkets within a 10/15 drive.

Excellent place for a stopover. Good flat hard standing pitches with electric, water and toilet disposal on hand, toilet facilities in pub. Lovely fields behind for dog walking. Food in pub excellent, good sized portions, you have to pre-book but that is no bother.

Yet another fantastic stay at Irondale. The site really is spot on, small, very clean with level pitches which all have a picnic table. The toilets are very clean and the food, beer and atmosphere in the very dog friendly pub are excellent.
Lots of decent walks with other Pubs/cafes within easy reach.

What a find. Lovely flat pitches each with grassed area and picnic table in a secure area to the rear of Chequers Inn.Pub toilets are accessible 24/7 and the owner couldn't have been more helpful we arrived on a tuesday ,after having to evacuate our previous site due to rising flood waters. The owner met us on arrival and,although the kitchen was closed, he kindly suggested that we could order a takeaway from a selection of menus he had in the pub if we didn't feel like cooking and could eat them in the comfort of the pub lounge.
Would definitely stay again.
We were pleasantly surprised to wake up and find the neighbouring pitch is permanent home to a beautiful Eagle.

Nice little village and friendly locals.

The opening hours of the pub were very limited even on New year's eve. The site owner was not the most welcoming I've ever met and the septic tank for the toilet waste was full to the brim on the day we left the site.

Stopped over for one night on the way down South as easy to get to from the M1. Large plots for motorhome, with electric hookup and toilets. Friendly cute pub on site.

Little pricey considering there are no shower facilities
