What can I say about this site?
My words alone can't do it justice. We were greeted by Ian when we arrived who showed us the camping field and pointed out the facilities. He gave us a few options of pitches available and said we could pick whichever we wanted. Ian would come to the camping field and check on everyone a couple of times a day.
The camping field is level, the grass isn't cut too short which means it is comfortable under foot when inside the tent. The pitches are a good size with plenty of space between each electric hook up. In the camping field there is a porta potti style toilet in a purpose built hut but just around the corner is a bathroom which was basic but very clean. There is only 1 toilet and shower but as it is a small site it wasn't a problem. Neither of us went to the bathroom and had to wait to go in. There is also an area for bins and a chemical disposal point.
It is worth mentioning that it is a working farm with cows, sheep, chickens and ducks so if you aren't a fan of animals it probably isn't for you but we loved watching the animals. The site is dog friendly, in fact at one point 7 out of the 8 pitches occupied had dogs, but as it is a working farm they need to be kept on a lead and under control.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on this peaceful site and we will definitely return.

Trains. Just passing we could cope with, it was the horn they sounded as it came to the level crossing every time drove us a bit mad.

Perfect location for a peaceful camping break. Welcoming hosts and adequate facilities with railway station in walking distance. We used the train for a trip to Bridlington. As long as your fine with staying on a working farm you can’t go wrong picking to pitch up here. Will definitely return in the future

Quiet and peaceful on a working farm. Very friendly couple who run the site. Plenty of room. Village was only a mile away so could either walk or cycle. And there were 3 pubs, a fish and chip shop, convenience store and a church. Train station very nearby so if you wanted to go further you could. Would definitely visit again, especially as it was adults only.

It's a basic site and the info make this clear.
Shower was lovely and toilets very clean.
Owners very accommodating, friendly and welcoming.

It a small site but only 1 toilet and shower. This is in the same room so if someone using the shower there is no toilet available.

Peaceful setting. Low price.

Sheep in the camping field, which meant everything had to be put away in the tent before a trip to the toilet

Friendly and very helpful owner, bathroom clean and very tidy. Back to basics, it's nice to find a real traditional camping spot where cows are in the field behind you, the morning cockril sounds and 4 escaped sheep graze outside your tent.
Beautiful countryside stay walking distance to the village and I will definitely return.
