I liked everything! Fantastic view across the valley to Crich Foresters Memorial. Toilets and showers basic but clean, working and free! Lots of space and no pre-set pitches so I got a great spot although booking last-minute. Some lovely scenic walks direct from the farmhouse. Friendly owners. Only £10 for me and my dog was free. Oh, and unusually great WiFi! Definitely coming back. I would just say it was a family-friendly site so lots of kids and kid noise on a Friday night, maybe quieter during week.

The peace and tranquility, just what we were looking for. The facilities were clean. The location was ideal for access to plenty of beautiful walks with stunning scenery in both Derbyshire and the Peak District.

Having to leave!

Excellent big field with lovely view. Clean, well maintained toilet and shower block that is easily accessible. Pot washing area in good condition and drink safe tap.
Toilet roll/soap and washing up liquid replenished daily. Excellent camp site

Really good site we like how you can go where you want in what is a really big field to pitch up decent showers and toilets and sink to wash your pots with hot water good price per night as well

The views and the nice chill vibe were very good. Not overly busy and other pitchers were friendly and welcoming.

Again, the location was superb with very scenic views all round. Facilities were just what was needed (nice clean toilets and showers) and staff were very welcoming when we checked in

We loved our Friday-Sunday stay at Hankin Farm. This was our first time camping with TentBox and it was a really wonderful weekend. The facilities were simple but absolutely spotless, even in the height of summer! Plenty of toilet roll in the cubicles and hot water for showers. The facilities did not look bad in Pitchup photos but they are nicer in real life so do not let the photos put you off. The site was not crowded at all but did have plenty of life - we met some really lovely people on the site and we felt very welcome. Campers were also very considerate of noise regulations; I am quite sensitive to noise and nothing bothered me here. It was really nice to hear the cows mooing every morning and we loved the little rope swing tucked away in the bushes. Owners were very friendly and the site itself was wonderfully situated on the hills with great views. It was an easy walk (down a slope) to the train station which was well-connected to towns and cities. If you fancy a takeaway, both UberEats and Just Eat deliver to the campsite but you could walk into Crich village (40 minutes) or easily catch a train to Cromford or Matlock for a sit-down meal. You can also bring your own raised BBQ and cook whatever you fancy. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
