site is sloped so you need to pitch up carefully, not a big deal if you are experienced.

We enjoyed everything about this site.

Nice owners who were very helpful, very basic but useable facilities (a lick of paint would help to make the toilets and showers a bit more inviting), quite area and a large pitching area where you can choose where to go and without many restrictions.

Also, a fantastic price and very dog friendly.

No electric hook ups currently (doesn't affect us as we never go electric anywhere) and it's a working farm so there is a bit of noise but nothing that's going to bother you.

The perfect base to explore the surrounding area and some lovely views as well.

This is basically a field but the location is amazing. The views of the valley are great. The toilets are basic but very clean. The owner was very helpful and friendly.

The field is on a slope

Plenty of space, friendly staff greeted us as we arrived, clean toilet block, washing-up station, and late ‘check-out’.

Nothing in the owner’s control (we happened to pitch next to a noisy large family which was the only downside for us!)

Peace and tranquillity. Excellent views of the countryside. No electric hook up but not needed. Basic toilets and showers were free and adequate. Owners were so pleasant and helpful. Fire pits available and big bags of dried logs for £7 a bag. Excellent value. A most enjoyable stay.

Easy to find, very friendly owners. Basic site but has all the essentials for an excellent value stay. Super quiet location. I'd happily return. Fantastic pub up the road called the Bear (5 min drive).

These aren't negatives, but just me pointing out a few ways of potentially improving things after my first impressions. The driveway is a tad bumpy - I'd suggest making this more level somehow, either by putting some cheap gravel down or a few shovels of concrete in the most uneven areas. I'd suggest adding a few small solar powered lights around the gate and toilet block area, so it's easier to navigate at night. Possibly landscape a few pitches so they are level and hardstanding, as the site is mostly on a slope. Charge a premium for these pitches. Put up a map on the outside wall of the toilets perhaps which shows local pubs and locations for closest simple amenities (fuel, milk etc). Shower interiors could do with a fresh lick of paint and a few more hooks or a shelf in each cubicle to put your things, rather than having to place items on the wet floor. This would make it much more pleasant.

Lovely views.

We pitched next to a number of tents which were erected but unoccupied when we arrived. A short while later, three cars arrived, driven by 12 year olds across the field and around 10 adults and kids got out of each vehicle (after nearly crashing into the wall)
To say an episode of Eastenders played out directly next to our pitch was an understatement.
Their kids were constantly walking through our pitch, staring out our children and the volume from them all of them camped as a large group was unbearable. Arguments, shouting and falling out with one another.
We asked for them to stop walking through our pitch and as you can imagine this was given no consideration at all.
The owners of the site were not around to be able to speak to.
Needless to say, we packed up our stuff and drove to another site which enforced its rules a little more consideration of those who want to enjoy camping.
