Loads of space, clean and tidy facilities, brilliant walks from the site. Friendly help when checking in and given the option to park up on the track because it wasn't too busy so we didn't sink in the mud despite booking a grass pitch. Lovely stay, we'll be back later in the year I think with the family! Only stayed for one night so didn't try out the showers but they looked fine! Super close to Bakewell as well which was handy.

Scenery, Location and new toilet facilities in the main camp area

Appreciate that we are out of season but the trek to the shower block, shower facilities being cold and water temperature at best warm would effect decision to come back - however, I understand that there are plans for a new shower block in spring / summer 2025, that would be a game changer for the site.

Showers were in a cold building, they were dirty and the water was also cold.
Hugely overpriced for poor facilities

Everything - had plenty of space. Being able to buy logs and fire pit from the shop was amazing. Even came dropped some off when it was a later into the evening which we are super grateful for. Thank you very much

Location was good

No washing up facilities- showers dirty and no reduction in price as site seemed as if the season hadn’t started . Shop and reception closed

We are novice camper van campers, and this was our first time staying in a campsite.
It was a very friendly welcome from the owner. He was helpful in directing us to the site facilities.
The toilets and showers were basic but very clean.

It was super cosy, when we had lit the fire pit, and very quiet.

We enjoyed spotting all the farm cats :)

Would definitely visit again!

Some of the signage could be a bit clearer for the camping plot types.

Can't comment too much on staff as none to greet us. However, it is a working farm and on the day we left, the farmer kindly offered to tow us off the site if we got stuck in the snow!
Can't comment on shower block as didn't use.

Unaware when we booked that the EHU is only 6A so could only use a low heating setting (limiting with 6 inches of snow and daytime temps of zero and overnight temps of minus 6!). Couldn't heat water at the same time or use electric hob or microwave. We used our LPG to supplement but as we'd been on a site with no EHU previously, we ran out by the end of our four night stay.
Had we known we would have made sure our LPG was full.

Shower flooded and was dirty radiator was stone cold.
Electric hook up was only 6 amp so kept tripping. Moved to another pitch but electric cable wouldn't reach so had to park on grass, had to get towed off as stuck . Noise from a cow all night which can't be helped but this was just another thing that made the stay not ideal. No lighting around the site. It has great potential but unfortunately as it is was very over priced at £36 a night. Hard standings with electric hook up is directly behind the cattle shed.
