Very pretty setting on a farm with good security. Toilet and shower blocks were really clean with fairly new facilities. A few pubs within easy walking distance and some lovely riverside walks to be had.

We received clear instructions for gaining access to the site and finding our pich on the morning of our stay.

After we had set up we were welcomed by Lesley who made sure we were happy with everything. We were and were spoilt with only having to share the site with one other van and the resident guineafowl. We had lovely views over open fields and when the sire was full the following day, the peacefulness wasn't spoiled.

The showers would benefit from some hooks to hang a towel and clothes.

Nice open field, plenty of space for kids to play in the middle without bothering other campers. Pub next door, plenty of choice of restaurants close by. Stayed with a 2 year old and he was not bored with the stuff around. The footpath along the river is on the door step, also a lovely waffle and coffee bar at the gates to the site. This site is within 45 mins from us so we will be returning throughout the year where possible. Clean toilets, recently been done up it seems. Loved the onsite animals. Lovely views out the top field. Will be back again 100%

Showers are touch and go with hot water, it is specified that if they are cold it’s because the gas has run out and they give a number to call to change the gas. 2/3 times was cold water so was easier for us to just use caravan shower but I think that was due to us going at the end of peak time showering. But didn’t bother us.

Very basic facilities - Large site - intermittent hot water so washing up was difficult without boiled water from kettle to boost temp, No contact with owners (how convenient) Price high considering the basic nature of the facilities.

Lovely quiet site very well situated for our visit, facilities were clean and tidy, we are certainly going to be booking again

It was a very quiet camping site and very rustic looking but well equipped for our needs. Very clean toliet and shower block which had been refurbished recently. Pubs and restaurants within a very short walk away. We will definitely be coming back.

Only little problem was there was no lighting to the pitches, but problem solved with a torch.

Everything! Especially location and the hospitality. Felt extremely welcomed.

The campsite is in a lovely quiet spot, right by the river Trent and easy to find next to Unicorn Hotel which is good for a pub lunch or dinner. We wished we had bought our bikes as there are several villages/small towns within easy cycle distance on proper cycle paths.

The campsite was simple yet effective, all grass pitches and level ground. Plenty of space between pitches and the shower/toilet block was modern and clean.

There are some resident Chickens, the most beautiful Ducks and funny Guineafowl. Cows also wander through the fields behind!

Not the fault of the campsite owners but another trip marred somewhat by barking dogs.

We went to pitch up in a sheltered spot as it was a particularly windy day but we swiftly moved as far away as possible from the yapping dog.

Nice site, good clean facilities.
Fabulous location, near to a pub and riverside walks.
Quiet location and secure.
Good communication with site prior to arrival.

We were told our name & pitch number would be on a board by the entrance. ( I had booked two pitches together for family get together) On arriving neither names were on the board, but only three free spaces but none together.
So I rang the number given, I'm still waiting to be phoned back.
I spoke to another couple who were camping who had had the same issue the day before, and they'd just picked an empty slot.
So we picked an empty pitch and parked our motorhome and put a single tent up on the same pitch as we wanted to be together.
Slightly annoying that we'd paid £40 each for Two pitches though.
