The location, staff in the pub, the food was lovely, the atmosphere was great, we made friendships with the locals who we spoke to, the price made it great value for money

We will definitely be coming back again the staff were lovely so friendly loved our dog too, the view was amazing the honesty shop had everything we needed and reasonable prices. The toilets and shower in the caravan was clean and well maintained. The food was delicious and very good for price and was brought out to us on our first night the second night we decided to go in for a roast and went back to our Tentbox with full bellies and couldn’t stop thinking about how everything was perfect and home made our experience couldn’t have been better! ☺️ 15/10 will for sure be going back the staff were always happy to help and we even got to move pitches after everyone had left with no problems.

Had a great night's stay. Small site right behind the the pub with toilets and shower available to use in a static caravan in the corner of the site it also has a little shop with the essentials with an honesty box. We had drinks and an evening meal which was lovely and reasonably priced. They even brought it out to our awning for us as our little dog isn't great around a lot of people. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely clean and tidy site and friendly staff.

Excellent site in a convenient location. Sheltered, flat, grass pitches.
Friendly hosts, good pub (food and drinks). Facilities undersold as the site does have a shower, shop and takeaway to cover times when the pub isn't open.

Liked: this is a small campsite behind the pub with four very generous sized pitches.
it has a very relaxed laid back vibe. Although pitchup says it has no shower facility their is a static caravan which has two toilets and a shower (with no annoying push button and no additional charge to use). the other side of the static caravan is a little honesty shop, selling everyday essentials, and very reasonably priced.
views from the campsite are amazing and the pitch is relatively level, we didn't need to use the levelling ramps on the van. You get a lovely welcome text the day before your stay, and get the Wi-Fi code for both inside the pub and at your pitch, included in the very reasonable price to stay.
we had a few drinks in the pub and were made to feel extremely welcome, the staff team are great and all really friendly. it is dog friendly which is why we chose to come and dogs are allowed in the bar. We had a meal on our last night and this is reasonably priced (around £15 per meal) food is home cooked, generous portions and delicious. I would definitely recommend a stay here and we are just looking to see when we have availability and time to return.

Lovely place, very handy facilities. It was first time taking my kids camping and was an enjoyable first stay. It suited well for an unprepared camper like myself who has minimal experience. Whilst our stay was only short there seems to be plenty to visit nearby and lovely walks/views just a shame we didn’t get to explore more. May visit again in future

Really nice, small pitch. Great location for Castleton walks. The pub staff were lovely and friendly, and the food was great. The static caravan with toilets and honesty shop was a great addition too.

The road was very busy and noisy all night. Also, below a flightpath so aeroplanes going over all night as well.

Staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome with our two dogs the moment we walked in.
Pitch was level and the toilets and showers were opposite in a caravan and were clean and tidy. There was a small shops on site open till late. Lovely area for walks etc.
Highly recommend it and would stay again!
