Loved camping under the trees and hearing the owls at night! The Thai food was unsurpassable and the fire pit was the cherry on the cake. Just the right amount of luxury and outdoors adventure all in one space. Hosts very kind and friendly, giving helpful tips for our planned activities. Definitely coming back.

the owners adrian and natalie were friendly and welcoming from the get go, which put us at ease right away!

we were able to choose the pitch we wanted, we went with 'fallen oak'. we weren't close to any other campers, and it felt very private for us, not to mention pretty. a 30 second walk from our pitch took us to an opening in the forest where we could see lots of horses, and a lovely view of cader idris. breathtaking!

the estuary is only a few minutes down the trail, my partner and i took our paddleboards out for a while and the scenery from the water was amazing

natalie cooked us meals, and went above and beyond to ensure they were suitable for us (vegan). we had the red curry and the pad thai which were delicious

the george III pub is about half an hour's walk away from the site, it's welcoming and very picturesque

the facilities are well maintained and nice and clean

overall, we'd definitely recommend staying at cefn coed! it was the peaceful break we needed, and we hope to be back by the end of the year when the weather has cooled down a little

Peaceful, well-thought out camping arrangements that felt like wild camping without sacrificing any of the convenience. A lot of thought has gone into the organisation of this site and the experience of visitors. A stones throw from various must-sees in North Wales. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

The location is absolutely stunning with beautiful walks and scenery. We ordered Thai food from site which was delicious. The staff were friendly. My children and dog had lots of space to explore and play.

The toilets and showers could have been a bit cleaner but other than that it was perfect.

Really lovely space, quiet and relaxing. Great to hire a fire pit.

The place is beautiful. The walks along the estuary were clearly signed and we really enjoyed being able to get down to the water so easily.
The young man who booked us in was very friendly and helpful.
The option to have hot meals delivered to your tent is a great initiative. Sadly due to the rain we left early so did not get to try it.
Having wheel barrows available for people who were camping on sites in the woods was a really nice touch.
The shower block was always clean and I didn't encounter any queues.

It was sad that as a dog friendly camp site that was so welcoming there are no bins. Taking our normal rubbish away with us was not a big problem, but the little black pooh bags were building up and it was suggested that we hang them up down wind of our tent and then take them home with us. Not great.
We managed to find a pitch that was almost flat, but some areas were on quite a slope.

Really enjoyed the feel of wild camping in the woods with the comfort of a nearby shower, toilet and washing up facilities.
We had tents nearby but were not overlooked.

Bug bites - bring Citronella and bug spray!

Nice private pitch’s available in the wooded area. Site is clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Lovely estuary nearby and 30 minute walk to a nice pub. Excellent value for money.

Having to take your own rubbish away with you. Not ideal when you have dirty nappies from a baby and keeping hold of dog mess from your dog. Would’ve been 5 stars otherwise.
