Met at the gate even thou quite late. Site was peaceful and clean. Toilet and shower facility was clean and quirky. We liked the fire pit that was provided. Lovely to hear the natural wildlife and to see stars as it is fairly dark.

Lovely, peaceful site. Pristine facilities and lovely countryside all around. Second visit was as good as the first.

Quiet, great views, friendly owner, easygoing, able to have fires, clean, basic facilities - but that’s what we wanted and they were immaculate! (Great shower my husband says!)

Small, quiet rural site

Nothing to dislike

We like being off grid and away from it all and this camping ground was perfect. The owners are really friendly and helpful. The pitches are level. The facilities are basic, compost loo, no hook up, but if like us you like to keep environmental damage to a minimum this is just right, and it keeps the price down. The facilities are all in a lovely shepherd’s hut. The site is really well placed for lots of local n attractions.

What a wonderful little site! Lovely clean shower and toilet, in a shepards hut, with great lighting, and loads of loo paper!
Fantastic washing up area with a little library where you can borrow books, my children loved this and left one of theirs for someone to use,
Great little barn with a few play things for the kids (which was great while we set up just as the rain started!)
Lovely to listen to the few sheep in the field next door and a resident owl close by at night.
Owners very helpful by offering help when they knew my car window was stuck down (a beer box and some tape fixed the problem!)

Not much parking if the site is busy but we have 2 cars as we have a big family and lots of stuff! so that’s our problem!

4G signal wasn’t great but again not to much of an issue

Simple, clean and quiet. We were only there for one night so it was perfect for what we needed it for.
The little cabins looked absolutely lovely to rent. We were in our camper and the field was great.

We would have liked to have seen someone who worked there, just to tell us what's near by. Little disappointed by the 'shop' we had hoped to buy eggs and local goods, but it was only bit and bobs for a fire.

The environment and how clean and well looked after the facilities where. The staff where really friendly and helpful

Loved the simple set up back to basics, composting toilet (not as scary as it sounds) toilet and shower were clean, you can have campfires and the limited number of pitches makes the small site friendly.
The communication from site owners about local events is brilliant. You also get a larger space so do not feel over crowded.
