The site is a lovely spot and very handy for Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Cannon Hall. Probably some good walks from here too.

Unfortunately there was way too much burning of fire pits and hot tub burners going on. Even down the bottom of the field the smoke built up in the tents on the first night gave us sore throats. It was very unpleasant specially trying to get to sleep. Not to mention its not that eco friendly. The traffic noise was surprisingly loud on a night from the road running past and possibly the motorway. The site needs to provide bigger bins. These were full before we even left on Sunday. The shower doors could do to open inwards rather than out. As this caused the water to drip on the floor. Tho the mop was available but people dont think to use it. I was disappointed. I've stayed at other sites with nicer facilities that are cheaper and would have allowed both our tents on one pitch instead of paying for 2.

Great little site. Lovely owners, very relaxed and helpful. Shop onsite sells fire wood at a very reasonable price. Also sells other bits- food, breakfast butties, sweets, etc and pizza on some nights. Facilities were basic but good- particularly liked them having a fridge, microwave and kettle. Kids loved the pool table. Really reasonably priced site and will certainly be returning

Lovely peaceful site, was lovely and quiet especially at night. Pitches well spaced and although it looks like its on a slope, the individual spaces have been levelled out meaning no rolling off at night. Good open area in the middle which was fantastic for all the kids coming together to play. Well stocked shop (with a mini supermarket within walking distance) and clean facilities. The owners were very friendly and helpful and made sure we had a good stay, which we hope to repeat again there in future.

Main facilities were across a road, but there was a toilet block on the field side (and loads of drinking water taps) so its not a big problem, but you do need to keep an extra eye on the kids.

Just faultless.. easy contact with site and answered queries prior to arrival.. lovely owners and on hand when needed.. clean facilities.. we only traveled 10 minutes to trial camping for my young nieces and the family cows and horses are nice to wake up to.. I’d definitely stay here again even if it is so close to home 😊

Greeted by owner on arrival, exceptionally friendly and happy to help in any way he could.
Lovely rural campsite, only 3 miles away from the motorway, so very good for a break on a long haul journey.
Local supermarket with Post Office inside, and two pubs serving food within genuine 5 minute walk.
Clean and modern toilets & showers, only 2x in main block, but perfectly maintained.
Lovely picturesque setting with Goats, Horses & Cows in adjoining fields, which you could pet if you so wanted !

The setting was perfect, safe, quiet & open, close to amenities whilst still being private.
The hut was warm and welcoming and had everything you'd need to enjoy a stripped back break.
The young cows in the adjoining grazing area were so friendly & my 3&4 year old couldn't have been more thrilled. The hot tub had been heated by the owners which was a lovely forethought.
Everything solar powered and off the grid.
