Excellent value for money with great views and walks nearby. Had a little play area for our toddler and plenty of space for him to play in around our pitch. The facilities onsite were absolutely spotless and had everything you could need.

The facilities were great with hot showers etc.
The electric pitches were nice and big and the wild camping area looked amazing.
The grounds were looked after really well and the playground was great. It was very quiet and at one point there was only us and one other family.
Hay was only 7mins away which was lovely and the staff were very friendly.

My only grumble was our pitch although nice and big, was right next to the road. It looks relatively quiet during the day but farm vehicles and cars doing 60mph go up and down it at all hours, and we were woken with a start many times. It can be quite scary when you're fast asleep. It woke the kids next door a couple of times making them cry. So it wasn't just us.
So if you can stay on the other side of the field I would definitely recommend you do.

Excellent modern facilities which are very clean and tailored to the campers every need. The tent pitches are located in the top field which is very spacious , , well designed and maintained to military standard. Each pitch has its own water supply which is a great feature .There is a large playground in the centre of the field , which is brilliant as mom & dad can keep an eye on the kids from their tent. The Wi-Fi on the site is free and covers the entire site which is great at night so you can watch Netflix when the kids are in bed. The staff are friendly and very welcoming, they are also happy to just leave you alone to enjoy your holiday. The site is located in a beautiful part of the Welsh countryside which is very peaceful and quiet. In fact my family enjoyed it so much we asked to stay an additional three days , which was great valve for money. I highly recommend this campsite , excellent value for money and just a lovely place to stay.

Not much to dislike but if I was push to mention anything , I think a little shop on site would add to the overall experience. However as the local petrol station is only 1/2 down the road Its not that important .

The touring pitches at Borders Hideaway are in an area of picturesque farmland, with views of the surrounding fields, woodlands, and farming activities, we really enjoyed just being there which is quite rare for any site, it really was that lovely a location. Facilities were very convenient to the pitches, clean, and well presented. The location was perfect for access to Hay on Wye as well as mid wales, placing us centrally to the best the area has to offer.

We liked everything! I'd read reviews on the site especially regarding the facilities as I have a bit of ocd with clean bathrooms and as far as camp sites go this is by far the cleanest place we have ever been too! All staff are very friendly and helpful, everything you could need, children loved our pitch being right on top of the park beautiful scenery and right next to the wonderful quaint town. Will definitely return to this site, definitely recommend.
