This was our fifth visit to Borders Hideaway so we know we like it! We camp in our tent with electric hook up. The site is in a beautiful setting. I never tire of sitting outside the tent and drinking in the view. The facilities are well thought out and always clean.

We hadn't visited for four years and were alarmed to see that there are fewer grass tent pitches with electric hook up now. It limits the number of non-sloping pitches for tents with electric hook up.

I almost don’t want to leave a positive review because I’d like to keep this place a secret 😂 But they deserve one. We are regular campers, usually staying near the coast, but we opted for a countryside holiday this time, and I think we can safely say this is our new favourite site! Run by an incredibly friendly couple, the grounds are beautifully maintained, with lots of areas left to nature, immaculately clean facilities, generous pitch sizes and a fab play park for the kids. It provides a perfect base for visiting the local towns and hill walks. We will absolutely be back next year!

Really enjoyed our stay at Borders Hideaway Holiday Park. We had a tent with electrical and water hookups. Out pitch was near the toilet facilities and that was very convenient. It's on a hill so even though we were close, it wasn't in view from our pitch. The kids loved the center space with the playground. A picnic table was brought over for us and that was super helpful. We attended as part of the Hay Festival and it was very easy to go between the festival and the campsite. The facilities were clean. We expect to come back!

Not much! There was a small light near our campsite but we just covered that up at night so it didn't shine through our tent.

Very well maintained site in a beautiful location. Our pitch was provided with a water tap and an electric hook if we'd wanted it. The toilets and showers were always clean. For younger children there is an excellent play area.

Beautifully peaceful campsite in the heart of lovely countryside. Very clean facilities, friendly helpful staff. Dog friendly with exercise area. Very environmentally friendly. 15 minute walk to nearest shop, 30 minutes walk into Hay on Wye. We loved the quietness and beautiful views. Lots of lovely walks over the Brecon Beacons a short drive away.

What a wonderful 3 days I spent here. I stayed in the wild non-electric camping area … large areas to pitch your tent with plenty of ‘left to wild’ space between neighbours . Stunning rural views make for a very relaxing stay and the trails throughout the site, including orchard, herb garden and bee hive area, are wonderful to explore. The shower block is spotless and nicely laid out. Absolutely loved it here and would fully recommend.

Borders hideaway is a beautiful site. We loved seeing the swallows over the field behind our pitch, and the thrushes and blackbirds out front. And the bluetits nesting in a service post! The toilet/shower block was great, spotless, good size and layout. No queues and always hot water. Although the site was full, we were not disturbed at all in our motorhome. It was just a short drive to the Hay Festival site. The WiFi was good enough for us to watch TV online in the motorhome for the first part of the week.

This campsite has become our regular for a reason. It's so peaceful and relaxing with amazing views in the wild camping area which we stay. The toilet and shower block are always clean and tidy!!
We absolutely love the conservation that happens on site with the many bee and bug hotels with all the fruit trees and herbs to go round exploring with little ones. Perfect campsite for us!
We did miss the usual people that worked there though!

Really beautiful location with excellent facilities. We booked wild camping knowing it was on a slope but it was totally worth it for the view! The slope wasn't too bad at all. The showers, toilets and washing up facilities were clean. Great value.
