What a fantastic natural stunning place to be. I was mesmerised from the day I landed to the day i left despite the torrential rain.
Scenery out of this world, few good walking paths on site, forest or water.
Fantastic toilet facilities and up to date information board.
You could hear a pin drop here so quiet and relaxing.
Many Many places to pitch with all different views.
Excellent phone signal and wifi
If I could live anywhere it would be here.
Can't wait to come back very soon. One of my favourite places.

Stunning immediate location, the campsite is surrounded by forested hills and the idyllic wild river Lledr. The river was in full flow during our stay as the weather was incredibly wet. The host is very friendly and the site for the most part is immaculate, a bit disappointing to find previous guests putting non-burnable waste in the firepits, but that isn't the fault of the campsite. Toilet facilities were pleasant and clean. Loved that pitches are not assigned and you can find something that suits you and your setup when you arrive. We opted for mid field as we had a larger tent, although I wish we'd stayed closer to the water now - next time! Great location for exploring Snowdonia too, so many activities.

The British Weather haha, the rain we had was biblical and the tent we chose to use wasn't up to the task, so we had to pack up after one night - so my dislike is we only managed 1 of our 2 nights, we will certainly return to this site.

Beautiful setting, parked up right next to river, lovely walks directly from campsite. There is a basic toilet block with two flushing toilets, and a cubicle with sink with hot water. Drinking water stand pipes fitted around the camp. You can pick your own pitch fire pits available.

The gate entry is a little inconvenient, there is a notice saying check in with reception on arrival but no indication where reception is, so just be aware you need to go to the farmhouse on arrival

Kids enjoyed camping close to the river so they could explore!

A very peaceful campsite with clean facilities and welcoming staff. I love the honesty policy. It’s in a good location for walks and day trips into nearby villages. I would highly recommend.

There was a lot to like about this site. I loved the fact that it’s close to the road (but you can’t hear it), it’s quiet and has a variety of pitches - all flat. I really appreciated the fact that they only charge for one person (unlike many sites who charge for 2). I don’t have a problem with it having ‘basic’ facilities - ie no showers. However, with only one hot tap you may have to either wait a while or wash in cold water. Paying wasn’t easy as I had to leave cash in an envelope - which meant going to get some. No sign of owners.

Unforgivable on a camp site to run out of toilet roll. And I can’t see a reason for it - why not just leave some for people to replace if necessary? Eventually one roll appeared several hours after the morning rush - either acquired from the men’s or someone had brought their own and kindly donated it. The washrooms also weren’t cleaned at all for the two nights I was there - so the bins were overflowing.

I was going to mention the unbelievable midges and the annoying padlock on the gate - but they paled into insignificance on an early morning loo run….

The fact they tried charging £10 more than I was meant to be paying when I arrived
