Gorgeous camp site, we were able to pull over anywhere we liked and we chose a gorgeous spot right by the river and woke up to the most peaceful view. The weather was awful! Typical English weather, but it did not dampen our stay, we had a cosy evening in our camper listening to the rain and a lovely walk around the grounds. We would love to return next season, hopefully in slightly better weather so we can enjoy this fabulous camp site the way it should be enjoyed, paddling and exploring.

I absolutely loved everything about my stay! The site was beautiful, and the owners were so welcoming. The location was perfect, with animals wandering along the river—it felt magical. Getting to make our own campfire was such a great experience, and the value for money was fantastic. I can’t recommend it enough!

The only downside was the showers, as they didn’t offer much privacy. Since it’s just two showers in the same outhouse-style room, you’d need to lock the door and take up both if you wanted to shower and get dressed in private. Also, just a small note—you have to be a bit careful driving up and down to the bridge crossing.

We loved everything about it and already thinking of rebooking! My little boy had the best time! So peaceful. Actually felt relaxed for the first time in a long time.

The location is just beautiful, surrounded by hills and forests on either side with walks and cycle routes in every direction. The river that runs through the site is both picturesque and a wonderful source of fun for all ages. The site itself is simple and rustic; it requires that you are prepared, especially if in a tent. Open fires are encouraged with an honesty scheme for logs and even marshmallows available from the kind and friendly owner.
